Congrats to Memphis on their first Playoff win ... Zach was huge in this one. Nice job, Grizz!
Second playoff win, first home win. They are up 2-1 on San Antonio now.

the spurs are in trouble, I smell an upset

Could happen, but I doubt it...San Antonio reminds me of our Celtics in some ways...they are a veteran team that has been battle-tested so many times...even though Timmy is getting up there in years, I still can't count out a team that has Greg Popovich, Tim Duncan, Manu and Parker.

Now - if MEM can win that next game and go up 3-1? That may be the finishing punch. But until then MEM will have much trouble trying to win that next game on their home floor.

I agree the spurs are tough, but Duncan is old, and Manu is hurt. Manu is the main man on offense for them. Injuries and age may take them down, and it sounds familiar

Wow...C'mon Perk! 3 fouls?? OKC needs you on the floor, Big Fella!

Yeah, the refs are still just as picky with Perk as ever ... I wish they'd let him play more, as I'd love to see him kick butt in OKC. (I still have a hard time seeing him in a different uniform, though).

Yeah...that's why as contentious as The Trade has been for us...I can respect Danny for making such a bold move that may bring us some pieces here in the future...as I look at the Spurs Squad, who is their future? Timmy has maybe one more year, at even less effectiveness...Manu will be 34 this summer...Tony Parker is still young, but that's it?

Dejuan Blair is a solid player..but is undersized..Tiago Splitter will be good, I believe..but he doesn't get much PT, at least yet.

I was even more encouraged watching our bench play in those last two reg season games..we have some players, but need to put it together. That will come with a good training camp with Doc.

Me too, Man...me too....Perk is a once in a lifetime kinda guy. It is so hard to replace players like him, but I must give credit to our JO...he may not have the same ties or bonds as Perk had here, but he is certainly fitting in. I watched him move within our offense and defense last night, and he seemed so fluid...just like Perk did.

As long as JO likes winning - and I believe he does - he will fit in Boston. He senses that this is maybe his best shot at a ring, and he wants to go out on top. Gotta respect him for that.

If you look at parallels here - between JO and Artest? Artest seems to now be loved Globally since he won that ring, and he played a huge part in that Game 7 last June. He has overcame that Palace incident.

Now - the parallel? JO was his accomplice in that fight. This is JO's opportunity to reconcile, and he is only 13 more wins from that.

Winning doesn't make life perfect, but boy if JO can hold down that 5 spot through June? He closes out his career in grand fashion, to me.

I never feel like anything that happens in the West for the first couple rounds really affects us.  I've expected the Lakers in the Finals all year long and I really don't think the refs would let anything different happen.  OKC is their only real competition with SA being a close second (Memphis just owned them the last two regular season games that's why I picked them to win).

Dallas and Portland could both beat the Lakers without too much trouble also IMO.  I could see Memphis being able to win too with TA shutting out Kobe and a big series from Randolph.

Lakers are pretty easy to beat this year if you ask me and they've got some tough teams to beat out there.  I'm still expecting them but anything's possible.

The thing with the Lakers is that I believe home court advantage is huge for them, which is why I want them to have to face the Spurs in the WCF and the Heat or the Bulls in the Finals.  I don't think they can win two straight series without HCA.
Why is homecourt advantage so important for LA?
Yeah?  Homecourt doesn't affect the officiating to my knowledge.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Wow ... Denver's shooting has been horrendous in this quarter ... OKC's not much better, but enough to start pulling away.

Really Denver?  NO ONE in the backcourt?

22 points, 16 boards and 4 blocks from Serge Ibaka. Dominant.

Wow how are you not even gonna run a play for JR Smith?  Give it to Nene 18 feet from the basket in a mismatch and then have Smith jog from the corner to the top of the key?  Really?  Would have rather seen Nene it take Westbrook and try to draw help.  They would have even been better off doing the exact same play, he got wide open for that shot.

What were they doing with Chandler in the game instead of JR Smith in the first place?  I know he cooled off but still.

I saw that McDyess hurt his hand in that game...I hope he's ok. If San Antonio loses him, that will hurt quite a bit.
san antonio is not going anywhere in the playoffs with or without mcdyess...they are too old and not big enough.

I still believe in the Spurs, at least in this series.  They'll win the next two, drop game 6, and win game 7 on their home floor.

Anyone watching this heat game? They look really really awful in the early going. I think they might lose this one...
