Haha.  Let's hope this one is as successful as the similar threads.

I am impressed by Chicago, though.  They're not unbeatable by any means, but Rose is an amazing player, and to finish as the best team in the East, and with the #1 defense in the NBA, despite missing a combined 50 games from Noah and Boozer, is praiseworthy.

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I'm pretty sure the Bulls maybe questioning themselves a little after the Magic played them to a standstill today without Dwight Howard. This will certainly be an interesting 2nd round matchup.

I think the Bulls are a VERY good team, and will be tough team in the postseason. Rose is having an MVP worthy season. But I don't think they're invincible. Not in teh slightest.

And as someone pointed out (I forget who), when was the last time a team won the championship without above-average production from the 2-spot? That's huge hole that will be exposed in the playoffs when the game is slowed down and halfcourt offense becomes so crucial.

  • Rondo = Good
I think the Bulls are a great team, but I think the Heat have a better chance of knocking off the Lakers.  So, as much as it hurts me to say it, I hope the Heat make the Finals if the Lakers do.
