Celtics will win all 5 games left and finish with 59-23
Two games against Wizards, one home game with Knicks and two big games against Heat and Bulls. Probably we will finish 2nd in EC.
I'm confident about this and i just want after all negativity in the last month to see some positive things here on celticsblog. It seems like some of you lost confidence in our team and are afraid of the Lakers but the only two things to be afraid are ourself and injuries. Remember what Rondo said early in the season: We are team to beat in the east.

The only reason for the negativity is because the team has played bad sometimes.
All of us being happy or positive won't change what happens on the court.

I hope you're correct about the wins. But I wouldn't put much money on it.
Beating the Heat and Bulls will be difficult.

We will sent message to both Heat and Bulls i'm sure but  now i think we might have a chance to finish first in the east. If Bulls lose tonight they will have to lose two other games for us to be number one so they will lose against Magic and Celtics :)

But all of us being pessimistic and negative doesn't help either

Looking at the rest of the schedule, I see two losses.

We face the Wizards twice on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.

Young, Athletic, Energetic teams that have nothing to play for, always give the C's trouble,
but now you couple that with it being on the 2nd night of a back-to-back. Not ideal at all!

But with that said....I sincerely hope I am wrong!

I hope you're right.

Bulls looked hapless when rose wasn't on tonight. Got very lucky with the referees. (What a surprise)

They'll win 3/5.

I'm an optimist, but I don't think the Celtics will win every game. Tey won't be focused to win every game remaining, so it will be difficult to do so.

I guess they will win in Chicago and maybe Miami (their motivation against the Miami Hype Machine is not clear to me), win the last game at home vs. the New York Bricks, and probably loose one against Washington. They are playing them on back-to-back nights after playing Chicago and Miami.

3-2 or 4-1 isn't bad either. Probably 2nd seed, but being 3rd wouldn't be the end of the world. HCA is nice, but you can't have everything. The Celtics are waiting for the playoffs.

I'd love to be wrong, and I'll root for 5-0, but I don't think it's realistic.

I'd say we lose one game. That loss will come against the Wizards.
PHX Suns: Russell Westbrook, Chris Bosh, Tristan Thompson, Trevor Ariza, Tony Allen, Trey Lyles, Corey Brewer, Larry Nance Jr., Trey Burke, Troy Daniels, Joffrey Lauvergne, Justin Holiday, Mike Muscala, 14.6

That'd be ending the season on a 7 game win streak and winning 8 out of their final 9 games.

Definitely would be an impressive feat. I'll also assume they'll lose one game, even if they probably should win rest of their games, and I'm sure they know deep inside they should.

Helps me. That way I won't be let down. And unless we win it all then it's a let down.
So I now believe we won't win it all to keep me from getting too down later.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...
I agree.

With it being so close to play-off time I don't see us letting the Wizards slide by with a "meaningless" regular season win. We're going to take the Bulls and Heat seriously and we're not dropping games we should win. If we do lose a game it will be to the Bulls in a tight one not to some team that has no business beating us.
