Well, no more saying "wait for Shaq" in response to negativity, I guess.

It's reallllly not looking good, folks.

Why not? Having a setback doesn't mean he won't be able to play and endure in the playoffs. It's not a positive sign but it doesn't mean it's over by any stretch.

yea, he did look very good before that injury. 6 points in 5 minutes

I wonder if Shaq has some kind of a tear in the calf muscle

Yeah he took the very first shot of the game, we though "finally they're going to Ray!" and then...

They said it's a strain....doesn't sound like a tear to me.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
Yeah, what is up with Ray's lack of shots lately?? Are we trying to save his arms for the playoffs?

thats why i said before he split his head open.  maybe he was out of the flow of the game when he came back in??  Pierce had a hot hand?

lets see what they do with him when we start the second half

Yeah, but he only managed to play 5 minutes before injuring himself again . . . and in a way that's not directly related to his previous injury.

Point being, it appears that Shaq is just too old to hold up much at all and actually be that productive in extended minutes.

Best case scenario is we can get 10 minutes a night out of him for 3-4 games in a given series.

Yeah but Green and West both went 6-6 from the field...can't really complain about that. Plus Pierce was on fire.

He's in a black hole right now, no question.

He looks tired, slow and old; if I were Doc I'd bench him for a nice rest before PO.
The Celtic in me.
