Nope.

Especially in what birdwatcher and chris says happens.

I want to see one more crack at it with this squad - also being that the new guys would hopefully get a full training camp under them.

This may seem like a stretch, but if there's a shortened season next year, why not keep the core together for one more abbreviated year? Kinda like when the Spurs won it the first time with Duncan & Robinson. What was it, a 50ish game season? They whupped the Knicks 4-1? Taking 1/3 of the season away, as sad as it sounds, may leave the window open a crack...

Yeah, I think an abreviated year makes it a no brainer to go for it one more time.  Beyond the fresher legs, the shortened offseason is just going to make player movement much harder anyways.

Is that regardless of how they do in the playoffs this year?  Personally, my criteria of a finals appearance still applies regardless of how long the season is next year.  I won't attribute their performance in the playoffs to the length of the season but their will/ability to win.  If they're unable to 'flip the switch' and beat the current competition this year, I seriously doubt they'll do anywhere near as well next year against the Heat, Magic, Bulls, Knicks and possibly NJ (with lots of money for FA's and the ability to resign DWill) when they have time to play together one more year and add more FA talent (and in some cases, draft picks).

If they really do turn it around in the playoffs and get to the finals, I could see one more chance at it with this group provided they can get a real center and stock the bench with HEALTHY, QUALITY players.  As far as our current bench goes, I'd look to move BBD for someone else, keep Krstic, Green and West if possible but pretty much everyone is available in the right deal

They're already blowing it on their own!

after seeing the team not perform up to championship level the past 2 games, I felt the need to bump this thread.
