Or is he being totally misused by doc? He has had 3 or 4 good games, but in my opinion, he has been close to a Bust so far. One of the most passive players I have ever see. I don't see great potential, but hope I am wrong.

Too little time to integrate him properly.

This trade was always going to be risky in mid season, and now it looks like it might backfire.

Daniels was a better defender.

How often was Daniels asked to play PF?

The point of Jeff Green was to give rest to Pierce and Allen and defend the elites like LeBron and such.

What does Jeff Green need to get?

He doesn't play enough to get into a good flow.

When he does play, he's the only guy busting down the floor and on rare instances, Rondo or West will find him.

We, as a team, are not used to a guy burning rubber on the fastbreak.

We are used to trailing 3 pointers on our fastbreaks....

When you say "When is Jeff Green going to get it?" I hope you are using "it" in place of "the ball".

I think this is one of the "curses" of being a versatile player, you can be used in multiple ways, and help in a variety of roles.  I think in order to establish any sort of consistency from a guy like Green, he needs 1) the ball 2) a consistent role...With the way this team is with injuries, he probably for the rest of this year, will not have a clear defined consistent role.

When they go him, Danny talked about how he could play the sf and pf positions.

You would think Danny might tell doc to play him  more since everyone says he is the  best player by far in the trade. The trade that continues to confound me.

He'll get it as soon as he gets enough touches. He's a better mismatch at the 3, and he gets phased out when baby is on the floor with him. I agree that he is a poor rebounder for his size, but I think he gets a bad shake as a defender.

Green took 5 shots tonight, and hit 2. Two of the shots he missed were bad passes (like that Alley-oop that ended up in front of the rim with his defender in front of him). Let him post up, and [dang] it, keep Baby off the high post so he won't be tempted to shoot long jumpers!

  • Rondo = Good
Maybe when Doc starts playing him consistent minutes and giving him opportunities instead of allowing Glen Davis to put up all the shots on the second unit?

Or is he being totally misused by doc? He has had 3 or 4 good games, but in my opinion, he has been close to a Bust so far. One of the most passive players I have ever see. I don't see great potential, but hope I am wrong.

How can he not look passive?  Most of the time that he plays he's in there alongside Glen Davis.  Everybody on the second unit looks passive when they're playing with Davis, because Davis doesn't move the ball around and takes all the shots.  When Green plays with the starters, especially when the starters are getting out on the break, he looks great.

Yes, Green could be a bit more aggressive, but the team has to make an effort to put him in situations where he can succeed by being aggressive.  Right now it doesn't seem as if they're making any real effort to do so.

Dude doesn't get a lot of shots I hope somebody would get in his ear and tell him to be more aggressive because he has the skill set to do more

With Baby in the starting unit, Green and West should be taking the most of the shots from the 2nd unit.

There should be more shots for Green, but he is taking even less!

Something is definitely wrong with our offense.
