Theres a reason this guy was the #21 pick and was cut from Team USA.

Rondo is a Cancer and has a terrible attitude, he also is a poor offensive player and is overrated.

If this franchise wants to go anywhere they need to try to trade Rondo as soon as they can.

Does Rondo for Brooks/Gortat work?

Yea trade the best player on the team with no youth...

That makes sense....

Rondo is nowhere near the best player on this team.

Perkins was better, and Green is better.

At this point, I'm about ready to say Gerald Green is better!

Pure hatred....

before rondo got that money..contract..his game was different..he does not play like he is hungry or has anything to prove anymore

Well the kid has no heart. But I'm sure we'll all here at the end of the year that he had a billion injuries he was fighting through to excuse his poor play, yet I've never seen the kid wince on the court once.

The Celtics need to start West. It's the only way to save the season. And, yes, I do believe there's a good chance Doc was talking about Rondo.

Yeah because Delonte's 2 point, 1 assist, 1 TO performance in 18 minutes tonight was soooo much better than Rondo's.

Do I need to know him personally to see that he's playing with zero fire? I'd rather have a D-League player play his heart out for the C's at point guard than watch Rondo disrespect the game.

It has nothing to do with stats.

You can't judge a man by the way he plays on the court. You're not Dr Phil.

So according to you it's impossible to judge if a player is playing hard or not? I wouldn't recommend you ever become a basketball coach.

Then what does it have to do with? Delonte has not been playing any better over the last few games than Rondo has (especially the last two)...not to mention the fact that he can't stay on the court for more than a few games at a time.

It just seems like the only player you ever blame for our poor play is Rondo.

I'll never give up on our Rhondo. He is a beautiful point guard and an amazing talent. Let's admit that there's just something wrong right now and we're trying to figure out what it is because it's worrisome. Though I do notice he's now improving and starting to look more alive. Let's just hope he keeps it up and that whatever's bothering him is getting worked out.

Delonte plays hard, Rondo doesn't. And Delonte has been better than Rondo setting up the offense. The Celtics went on a huge scoring drought in the fourth quarter against the Bobcats tonight as soon as Rondo checked in for Delonte.

He hurt his ankle again tonight and he will likely miss Sunday's game, so this isn't going to happen.

Hate to say it, but Danny took way too many gambles with injury prone players in building our bench.

Shaq, Delonte, JO, Marquis . . . these are all players we hoped to lean on heavily this year and all of them had histories of lingering injury issues.

Agreed.  The “concussion” Marquis got in the playoff game last year with Orlando was caused by minimal impact, and that never made sense to me. Then it’s found out a couple of months ago that he has a spinal cord vulnerability.

Have you forgotten the first two months of this season, before he got injured?

I believe that Doc was talking about most of the team. There is not a lot of Ubuntu going on right now.

Delonte's a bench player who plays limited minutes and has played a total of 13 games this season, of course it's easier for him to go hard every play. Rondo on the other hand routinely clocks in 40 minutes a game and may not give 100% effort everytime down, but I think a lot of that has to do with saving himself for the playoffs. We've seen him go full speed in spurts, like in the Knicks and Memphis games recently, which is obviously frustrating but I don't think he does it because he "doesn't have a heart".

And while you point to the scoring drought in the 4th quarter (which consisted of Ray and Pierce bricking 3 point attempts), it's fair to point out that when DWest and the bench came in during the second quarter the Bobcats cut our lead to 4, when we were up 8 or 9 points. It was Rondo and the starters that regained that advantage in 3rd quarter to bring it back up to a 13 point lead.
