Since the celts report his status as day-to-day, that means he will likely miss 2-3 months. Maybe he can borrow shaq's boot if Shaq ever gets done with it. I really don't care about Murphy not being available, but with the latest news on Shaq, the big man situation is starting to look dire.

Yeah, I agree that Powe probably would have been the better option - if nothing else for morale reason. It seems strange that Murphy had nothing to offer and no one actually knew it. Everybody (including ESPN) thought our signing of Murphy would tip the championship scales in our favor.
