Any idea what Carmelo shot in the 2nd half?
don't know the %, but he only scored 6 in the second half.

He jacked up more shots that Jenna Jameson in that half..

Good thing that the Knicks play no defense!

And also a good thing the C's can turn it on when it counts.

  • Another undersized Celtic...
good win, but why did Delonte only play 12 minutes tonight?

He did provide a nice spark with his hustle.

Oh agreed, totally. That's why I'm asking--I love that kid's intensity, as long as he's not on a 3 wheeled motorcycle with a backpack full of guns, samurai swords and nunchucks.

I think you have to keep in my that he isn't a %100 yet. I think we'll see his minutes go up and down.

I'm sure you're right, but aside from Ray, there wasn't a whole lot of movement out there most of the night--lots of standing around which leads to pounding 18 seconds off the shot clock until someone gets the nenads to throw up a sho

Still can't believe that anyone would ever employ Mike D'Antoni, who embraces the ludicrous notion that if you run and gun enough you don't have to play any defense.

I think you can get away with running and gunning if you have a defense anchor. Like if you added a healthy Greg Oden to that team or a Dwight Howard who started the break and anchored the half court set. Let's not forget that he's gotten to the west finals with his style.. which is farther than a lot of coaches.

I know the media loves to say how tough Kobe is, but I think they need to reconsider Rajon for that title now.

Man is playing hurt....and comes up big tonight on maybe the grandest stage - New York!!

Man plays well vs one of the all-time greats in Chauncey, too. I was a little concerned with the PG matchup in this game, but Rondo did not disappoint!

Way to go C's!! Way to play tough Rondo!!

there's a good stat on the screen right now--C's are 33-9 against the eastern conference...bodes well for a 7 game series. with anyone.

It's the responsibility of the point guard to be active with the basketball, as much as the movement away from the basketball, which wasn't great in the first half. None were at all, including West, in the first half. Rondo did a better job of that - but not great - in the second half. It remains the most maddening element of this team's game to watch Rondo and the points just "fiddle and diddle" with the basketball when it's so obvious that this offense thrives on dribble penetration.

It's elementary, and we've done nowhere near enough of it in the last couple of weeks.
