The Rambis clothesline was done during the playoffs, when it's called much looser with regards to fouls. Secondly, Rambis and McHale were both forwards. Bynum is a center and Beasley is a guard (I know they have him playing the 3, but that cat is no SF). The size discrepancy there is much more substantial than the difference between McHale and Rambis. Bynum could've ended Beasley's career, and it's a really crappy foul besides. Why would he hyped enough to foul that hard in a March regular season game anyway?
Also, after the Rambis clothesline, Bird immediately went over to help Rambis up. In this incident, there was none of that on the part of any Laker.
Also, in the first Celtics/Bulls game this season, on one Bull possession, Shaq fouled Rose rather hard (but not like Bynum did) as he was driving to the basket. Immediately, Rondo and Garnett went over to help him up. The Lakers don't do that.
