Starting playoff lineup of:  Shaq, KG, Pierce, Ray, Rondo

After 6 minutes I think we'll see Green take Shaq's place.  Then after a few more minutes we'll see the other subs (Krstic, BBD, West) but leave Rondo in a few extra minutes and have Delonte @ SG.

I think Green should be the first off the bench b/c he plays much better with Rondo.  Neither Delonte nor Arroyo do a good job of pushing the ball up the court when Green sprints down.  But Rondo & Green together has gotten some easy buckets, which opens up for the floor even more for shooters like Ray/Pierce/KG, and easy slashes for a trailing Paul Pierce.

The 2nd unit doesn't particularly excite me, but Delonte looked great last night.  I would hope that at least 1 starter is in there at all times though (typically going to be Ray or Rondo).  The 2nd unit's offense should run its options in this order:  1) Fast break (all but BBD are great at it, but he's still decent), 2) Krstic post-up (efficient), 3) Green post-up/drive 4) Slash & kick out for a pop up 13 to 17 footer, or dropoff for layup.

Murphy will have to show continued improvement for me to consider him, but I think he can do it. He's already shown that his shooting is coming around, and his knack for rebounding is quite good.  He's a situational sub, depending on the team.

Von Wafer shouldn't get many minutes, but I do like his spark & improvement thus far.

Jermaine can only have a situational place IMO if he shows during the end of the regular season that he is healthy and can play.

Sasha can be a decent sub only if Pierce gets in early foul trouble.

Good post.  I can see this lineup taking place.  Like you, I want to see more of Green and Rondo on the floor.  Rondo's talents mesh together nicely with how Green runs the floor and how Green finds room under the basket in transition and half court O.  These 2 could be deadly. I would love to see them get familiar with eachother a bit more. In turn, I'd like to see West out there more with the first group so we can take advantage of teams leaving the PG open to shoot.

I differ from you in regards to the 2nd unit.  I'm excited for this team to get healthy and see the backups with one of the big 3 combined. A combo like West/Ray-PP/Green/BBD/Krstic.  JO/Murphy in for PF or C when needed.  Thats a darn good bench mob IMO.  We are extremely deep now.  Just a matter of getting healthy.
