We will be a far superior team to the pre-trade squad once all the dust settles.   I see flashes of total brilliance, but you're basically seeing this team have it's training camp and pre-season in March.   After we rattled off 5 wins in a row I kept saying "This team will be great, but I expect an inevitable slump while they work out the kinks".  I don't know why anyone is freaking out about the inevitable slump inevitably hitting.  Give it time.  Let the Thunder overreact to their first big win with Perk (sure it had nothing to do with 57% shooting from three)... time will prove we won that trade.

I disagree. Its far too easy to blame everything on the "new guys" It is not their fault.

Rondo is not running the offense at all. And the Big 3 are playing lethargic. Out of anyone, the new guys and Big Baby are playing the BEST on the team right now, everyone else is playing poorly.

These losses are NOT to be blamed on the new guys, they are the only ones trying out there and every night have to come into the game down 10 because our starters are playing like garbage.

I really think that we're starting to see some of the complacency of last year.  On one hand, that's good news, because we know the team can turn it on when it counts.  However, it also means that we could lose homecourt.

I really think people underestimate the impact it has on players when management over-rests players during the regular season.  Doc and Danny have stated time and time again how certain players would play if it was the playoffs, but they aren't right now.  The message: the regular season doesn't matter.

So it's hard to blame the players for being disinterested.

So if everyone but the new guys are playing poorly, the big three are lethargic and none of them want the ball on offense then why do you lay all of the blame on Rondo?

They don't need managements help to form that idea.  These guys all lived through last year.  It is impossible after that run for them to not think, at some level, that they can just turn it on once they get to the playoffs.

Heck, even if they came on these sites, all people talk about in game 7 is that Perk was injured, and the refs blew the game.  So, if they should have won game 7 on the road last year, if it weren't for an untimely injury, and supposedly crooked refs, why should they think that home court is important?

I think it's all about faith from here on.  I truly believe we'll see the inconsistency we saw last year for the remainder of this year.  Unfortunately, that means we will certainly lose HCA to Chicago, probably to LA, and perhaps to Miami as well.

Then, it will either happen like last year -- or not...

I am encouraged that in addition to the remaining 18, they have a first round series against a managable opponent -- can get their playoff legs, attitude and rotation down before they get formidable opposition.  As expected, my annual nightmare has begun again as it's looking like LA is the strongest team in the West.  Dang.

Im am not laying all of the blame on Rondo. The Big 4 right now, are not playing like they should, for whatever reason. We cant blame the new guys when our 4 all-stars are clearly not playing well.

I belive this as well.

I think its unrealistic to expect the Big 4, who are al tired, nursing injuries what we dont know about, and who are also unmotivated to suddenly turn on the switch and go all out for the rest of the season and win most of the games.

That just isnt reality, this is the same team that play .500 last season. I expect that same thing to happen, we just dont have enough bodies or gas in the tank right now to play with energy for the rest of the season.

We just have to have faith that once the O'neals return, we truly are the best team in the league and can win on the road as well as win in LA.

Right on. The big 4 or the players who's been with the team for the entire season has to be out of gas. I can't just blame Rondo for wakling up the floor. The guys can't run as much as they used to. They are just tired. It's hard to put a measuring stick on it but it has to be it. Not having enough bodies throughout the first half of the season is finally showing its effect. AND it's making everyone panic.

We just have to hope Delonte & Oneal come back healthy. We might be able to win some close games even with the Big 4 tired.

Im am not laying all of the blame on Rondo.

I almost fell out of my chair when I read this. I think someone hacked your account. Or, maybe I missed all the "start Murphy over KG" and "start Sasha over Ray" and "I'd trade Pierce for Jared Dudley in a heartbeat" threads.

You really think I wanted to trade KG for Kris Humphries, I know sarcasm and such is hard to read over the internet, but yes, I was not serious.

from preseason game one of his rookie year i've been calling rondo the "future".

he has been so bad lately:
disinterested in d
fancy pass turn overs
holding the ball at the top of the key till there is 10 sec left of the shot clock
little penetration into the paint
down 2 with minutes to play, 2 on 2 fast break. pulls the ball back to the 3 point line and lets the defense get set. loose by 9...

kid is so good but so mercurial. you either love him (as I do/did) or hate him (which is how i felt after the last loss.)

if he is hurt let him rest, if he is in a funk sit him.
if he thinks to much of himself sic KG on him.

if all that fails, our championship hopes AND our post KG transition are in serious jeopardy. (how big a funk is this kid capable on a team that is not close to winning a championship? I hate to say it but I foresee a post big 3 prima donna
