West is set to return who is benched for the next couple of weeks? I use that timeline since Shaq, Wafer, and JO aren't expected back during that time.

We can go with several different lineups (I use Murphy at the 5, but realize Davis will handle plenty of Centers depending on matchups) :

(Arroyo Out)
5- Murphy
4- Davis
3- Green
2- Sasha
1- West

(Sasha out)
5- Murphy
4- Davis
3- Green
2- West
1- Arroyo

(Murphy out)
5- Davis
4- Green
3- Sasha
2- West
1- Arroyo

I'm pretty torn on it, but really would like Murphy in the mix to give us size and spacing. I guess for me it boils down to Arroyo and Sasha.

I say if West is really back, Ray or Paul may sit, getting a couple of games rest for whatever of their nagging injuries they want to name, while all the new guys continue to get acclimated.

Arroyo will sit in the playoffs

However, since the team is short handed due to injuries + with Doc likely wanting to keep a close eye on the starters minutes and health down the stretch ... Delonte may replace Pavlovic in the short term and keep Arroyo in the rotation for the time being.

But in the playoffs, it'll be Arroyo who sits out due to West's return.

I think later in the playoffs Arroyo will sit.  However, early on, I think Doc will keep a slightly extended rotation, and play Arroyo at the PG for a few minutes per game, and West at SG.

I think in the first round in particular, if the C's are fully healhty, Doc is going to take advantage of the extra depth to keep all of the starters (including Rondo) fresh for the later rounds, before really tightening up the rotation.

Sasha - his defense has been terrible...we don't have anybody in the post to cover our perimeter defense anymore.

He did get burned by AI on that final play, but Doc went out of his way to say Sasha was the defensive player of the game a few games ago.

Arroyo

The rebound combo of Green and Davis, very scary.

I think you're going to see Sasa playing and Arroyo sitting.  With that being said, both will be given minutes down the stretch as Doc tries to figure out which will be getting the important minutes in the playoffs.

IMO, when it comes playoff time, I like the size and D (if he plays to his old form) of Sasa over Arroyo with West as the second PG.  Sasa can hit threes and Arroyo has hit nothing, and on D Sasa can cover 2/3 positions, instead of just PG, shifting West to the 2 on D.

I completely disagree that his defense has been terrible.  That one play against Philly notwithstanding, he has been arguably the C's best perimeter defender over the last few games (which is why he was given that assignment).

With that said, no chance he sees the floor if everyone is healthy.  He is a wing version of Scal.  Break glass in case of emergency.  But he is a very good defensive player when not left completely on an island (there should have been help on that play).

With West back, I hope West sits... Id much rather go with a bench rotation of Arroyo, Wafer/Sasha, Green, Davis/Murph, Kristic.

I think the combo of

West
Wafer
Green
BBD
Kristic

When everyone is healthy is going to be pretty darn good.  Everyone of those guys can score.

Sasha will be the one sitting. Arroyo will still be playing because he has been running the offense very effectively for the most part, so I think Doc will give him the chance until he screws up that chance, he'll get some minutes, however limited.

I don't think Doc will want to play Rondo the extent of minutes he has been forced to play Rondo in the playoffs, unless he has little choice.

I really can't argue against sasha in there, he has been solid and energetic off the bench.  but you really think that JO should be in over Nenad after what we have seen the past couple of weeks?
