Wait, there's an anti-Lakers conspiracy now?

I have no Lakers sympathy.  The game looked fairly officiated to me.

Yea, seriously...the conspiracy talk got old an eternity ago.

Which is why I said "incompetence". It helps to read a thread before commenting sometimes

Well, in fairness, these were your words:

I guess the heat were not going to be allowed to lose this game.

This is why stern needs to go.

Generally, when people reference Stern and how the refs "were not going to ... allow[]" a team to lose, they're talking about purposeful manipulation, rather than incompetence.  That's why I threw the "conspiracy" word out there.

Anyway, if that's not what you meant, cool.  I think we all agree that the refs are pretty inconsistent.  That said, if that inconsistency hurts the Lakers, it's the moral equivalent of a victimless crime.

Lakers didn't get hosed. I counted at least 3 Miami and one's in the last four minutes of the game. None were called.
The lakers are lucky Artest is allowed to grab and hold as much as he does.

If I sound one-sided?...well...maybe because I am. I live in Los Angeles and have to put up with their **** fans. Good...I hope they all feel like they got hosed.

They didn't get hosed; it was a close game. That turnover late in the 4th ended up costing them...

The officiating is incompetent for most games.  If any team is going to get hosed by the refs, I'd vote for the Fakers first and the Heat second.

How good must the Fakers feel though, the Heat are 2-9 against contending teams and both of those wins came against the Fakers.

As long as Kobe is shooting as many shots as Bynum and Gasol combined they will always "get hosed". His forty foot three was hilarious with like 28 seconds left down 4 haha.

it was more advantageous for us that the lakers lost, so i'm glad that they did.  if both the celtics and the lakers make the finals, it's important that we have HCA.  i'm not worried about miami ending up with a better record at this point.
watching the Mavs-Knicks game. Mavs looking pretty good, i will not be surprise to see them in the Finals.

Thought it was pretty well officiated. Lakers got more ft's.

If you are referencing the Wade arm grab on Kobe, I'm sure that happens on most plays and we all just happened to see the super slow mo on that one many times. If you are talking about the Ilgauskas grabbing the ball off the rim, that was not goaltending as the ball was out of the cylinder. So, only the foul? Wasn't the game just about nailed on at that point anyways?

Yeah, I could have phrased it a little better, I get how conspiracy could have been taken from that. But I do think it was incompetence rather than a wizard behind the curtain.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not losing sleep over a laker loss. But la did get screwed.
Back to wanting Joe fired.

This.

Kobe choked the game away. I was hoping for the Heat to take this game, I don't think I would have been able to stomach the media crowing them three peat champions (as if they aren't already).

I kept forgetting who I was rooting for, mainly b/c I wanted the game to go into 10 OTs to tire out both teams so they can go on to create better losing streaks.

But I agree some calls went the Heat's way. I knew LeBron was a joke and flopped when he came to driving to the basket, but the "push" from Artest was non existent from my eyes. Looked like Artest hand his hands on his waist, and LeBron flops to the floor like a Magikarp.(throwback)

Either way, the Heat wanted it more, Kobe started chucking up 3's late in the 4th. And LeWade actually worked Bosh into the offense within the post the entire game. Good for them. Once we get an Oneal back, I can't see either of these teams beating us.
Can't stop, Rondo!

Boshtrich called them out after the last game...and it worked. Boshtrich is happy now.

LA didn't get hosed, if Kobe made a few better decisions down the stretch, they would've won. But he decided to try to play hero instead, and it was a FAIL.
