Also:

If Krstic plays over 30 mins. in a game chances are we are loosing that game. W/o Shaq, JO and BBD we are screwed regardless of how many points he scores - not his fault, just the facts.

Well, if the rest of the players did their jobs the other night, the C's would have won.  Krstic was one of the guys who kept them in the game, when no one else could hit a shot, or make a proper rotation.

I agree that if Krstic is playing that many minutes come playoff time, they are not going to be able to win a 7 game series against some of the elite teams in the league, however, this team is really good, and if the rest of the team is playing up to their normal standard, they cruise past 90% of the league, even with Krstic playing 35 minutes.

So....if a highlight reel is a very poor way to judge a player, then should Youtube delete this footage from Larry and Magic highlighting their passing?

Highights can illustrate some good things but, typically, they are just what they say they are "highlights".  Edited clips that are produced by someone. Oftentimes, this producer has an agenda when editing the highlights.  Showing the "Best of so & so" can be an entertaining watch but its only showing one side of the story or a snipet of a player's game.

I think what some people on here are trying to say is that although highlights can be entertaining and show some things, they don't necessarily carry a lot of weight with them regarding judgement of players, teams, etc since they're only illustrating a certain angle of the subject.

  I don't think that the reason youtube has those highlights is to provide objective references for people to compare and contrast nba players.
