I thought Doc was going to prevent the Celtics from winning a title.

(there is a whole thread on this I started because of a bet with Chris)

I thought Eric Montross was going to be great, but I have no shame whatsoever that I thought that.  I also had some faith in Joseph Forte and I have no shame in that either

I tried really hard to find that video of the elves saying to Hermie shame on you when he said he didn't like to make toys because he wanted to be a dentist. Couldn't find it. Found this instead

For the most part, I think I could probably just post a link to my post history both in the forums on the front page, and that should cover me for about a jillion mistakes made, but off the top of my head, I remember writing a very confident "Cleveland in 5" prediction post about the 2009 ECFs against Orlando.

We know how that one turned out.

I've said some stupid things on this forum over the years.  Prior to this season I said KG was "just about washed up", for example.  I'm sure there are several other examples.

But I nominate this thread as one of the funniest ever:

http://forums.celticsblog.com/index.php?topic=33161.0

A lot of people looking pretty [dang] stupid there.

(For those too lazy to click.  It's a thread asking, "Would you trade Rondo for Brandon Jennings right now?" and pretty much everyone responds "uhh... DUH... but the Bucks would never do it!"...)

FYI:  I think some of the threads from this week crying over the loss of Perk will look just as stupid in a couple years.

i didn't post this, it's an experience i had at a game.

went to a game vs atl back in 06 (i was 12 and naive) and some random guy gave me passes to meet the hawks after.

i didn't know what joe johnson looked like, but i knew he was their best player.

my older cousin told me he was white.

imagine going up to zaza pachulia, calling him joe johnson, asking for an autograph, and then having him laugh in your face.

Wow.

Seriously, I have lost respect for some people on here because of that thread lol.

I could understand if that was 2007. I could fathom 2008. But in 2009, after his performance against Chicago/Orlando in the playoffs? (I know Jennings wasn't around in 2007, but giving up Rondo for some flash-in-the-pan scorer at that point).

Just wow.

Jennings came out streaking over his first 7 games.  People went overboard.  Some of the smartest people on this forum are in that thread saying Jennings was far better than Rondo (after 7 games)...  Pretty funny looking back at it.  I'm proud that I compared him to Dajuan Wagner

Classic. The opinions on Jennings at the time are a great example of how the ESPN hype machine gets us all.

The dumbest thing i said here was in 2007, prior the Ray Allen trade when KG turns us down...I said great, in 2-3 years Al Jefferson would be twice as player as KG...
My apology to KG...
But in my defense i never doubt Ainge, even in Perk trade...
