Bahku, you're a surgeon. What do you think about BBD's prognosis?

I'd wait for the MRI ... it's pretty much specualtion until that test is done. If it is the patella ligament, then it depends whether or not it's a strain or a tear. A strain would be preferable, obviously, as any extensive soft tissue damage, (like a tear or rupture), takes much longer to heal. The way he came down on it, and the way it seemed to get worse as he walked away, would suggest a strain, and not serious damage ... let's cross our fingers.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
bbd stubbed his leg again.
looked like a bad stinger.
i bet he doesn't miss a game.
bbd, former football player, would likely play in a leg cast if asked to.

Read that last line again. One more time.

Hope he comes back soon enough to be effective in the playoffs.

It's interesting because KG said in his postgame interview that Baby has been playing hurt all year and even at the end of last year...

On the bright side it will give more time to the new guys and help them develop some chemistry/habits.

Now we know why he was struggling a bit. :-[  He's been dealing with the knee issue most of the year.

I wonder how the people bashing him feel now. Someone in the game thread was even happy about his injury. ::)

Well in a perfect (green) world, baby has a slight sprain, he takes time off to heal up something that sounds like its been hurt for awhile.  Green and murphy (newbies) split backup pf duties giving time for doc to work on things and get them accustomed to team.  They get to full speed, davis heals up and we are ready to go.

I was actually watching green last night saying to myself, great, maybe PP can take a practice and game off and let green get the minutes.

I dont think tendinitis would cause him to cripple over onto the ground in pain like that. I was diagnosed with tendonitis in both knees when I was only a sophomore in high school and have been playing on the knees for 9 years. Ive had some serious pain, but have never came up limp and crumbled to the ground like that because of tendonitis.
