feb 16 - feb 28   5 double-double

16.8 ppg  12.0 rpg  3.4 apg  1.3 spg  1.6 bpg

His blocking and rebounding is pretty good lately

Since feb 16th KG has at least 14points scored at least 10 rebounds and at least 1 block, last 5 games 5 double doubles. I think he is consistent and he start to rebound more. Feeling pretty confident right now about our Celtics. the Heat have a really tough games coming up and KG playing better and better no matter the new guys learning the system, don't worry we will finish FIRST in the east.

What about his minutes per game all season compared to the last 5 games?

Well he had a quote right after the ASB where he said he was going to step up to take some of the slack off of Ray and Paul and even Rondo.

He's backing it up.

Miami has a brutal stretch coming up so maybe we can distance ourselves from them (and Chicago) to get the Big Three Plus One some rest. Let the bench play 25 minutes a game for a week or two against the lottery teams towards the end of the season (especially the B2B's against NJ, IND, WAS, WAS).

KG last season was terrible. I have no clue how we made it to game 7 of the finals. He was on one leg, couldnt rebound, had no lift, and looked like he was disabled.

Hes like a different player this season.

He's look great!  It was tough to watch him not be his dominant self last year but just shows how good this team is.  I do think kg is a guy we'll see retire instead of fade away/loose a (big) step or come off bench.  Man is just too intense.  One other thing I've noticed, since its a nba peeve of mine, krstic boxes out his man pretty well.   So he might not be getting the stats but with another big off the boards kg might have an easier time to get rebounds.  I wish all the team would do this, we play chicago somebody has to get a body on noah.  I'm hoping kg and green will have the foot speed to stay with him.

KG has been really good all year.

He's good when he's healthy.  No surprise there! 8)

KG, Pierce and Ray are all experiencing a renaissance of sorts this year, and I think Shaq will, too, when he gets back. KG has his speed back, is elevating well and moving his feet, getting down the floor on fast-breaks, and shooting with confidence. He's a joy to watch when he's playing this way, and he's his old self when effectively getting into the heads of his opponents. He completely unraveled Big Al the other night at the end of the game ... I love that instensity from KG, and love when he's physical like that. (Nice to see A-Jeff playing well though, too).

No he hasn't.  He's said Boston was the last team he'll play for and that you never know what the future holds if there's a lockout, but he hasn't given any time-table on his retirement yet.

On topic, KG has 5 straight double-doubles.  The last time he had 5-straight double-doubles?  December of 2008.

I actually attribute this to him finally recovering from his earlier leg injury.  If you all recall, he was throwing down alley-oops until he went out for 9 games with that leg injury.  Then he started laying the ball in and settling for jumpers.

Personally, I think this is a good sign that he's back to 100%.
