Miami elected to waive Carlos Arroyo to make room for Bibby.

Question is, when did they do so? Was it after the midnight deadline? Does anyone know for sure?

The deadline is March 1 at 11:59pm, meaning tonight.  Arroyo will be eligible for somebody's playoff roster.

We should sign him, just for a psychological edge. ;)

Ah, I thought it was tonight. Brilliant.

I do think Arroyo should be considered for one of our remaining roster spots. He and Brewer would provide great insurance policies if West should go down to injury.

Arroyo is a PUNK. NO chance he comes here.

Agreed -- Arroyo is unlikely to get any better offers ... so good chance of him signing here.

Not an awful option for west insurance.

I'd rather TJ Ford than Arroyo.

TJ is a former Texas Longhorn, like Avery Bradley. Avery looked up to TJ growing up and went to the Horns to be like him. It'd be cool for him to come here.

Me too.

I'd also take a couple of D-Leaguers over Arroyo.

Id definitely take arroyo. He could play the back up spot pretty nicely. Amazing how far one can fall. Starting Point Guard on the "preseason front runners" to falling out of the rotation to being cut after the all star break... Yikes.

I like Arroyo for us. My concern is chemistry wise with him since he's been a distraction wherever he has been, but he may have matured since then. But I think he'd be very good with us, don't know if it's worth it though.

That's how I feel too, but Arroyo wouldn't be bad if we don't get TJ, which we probably won't.

Why sign him we already know their plays?  Throw the ball to one of their Big Three and pray they make it.  Watch as they dribbling away time and toss up a bad shot at the end.

Doc should be the backup backup PG, then he could coach in a Celtics uniform :)
