LOL I've been away for a bit but what the heck is going on around here GreenFaith with a Laker avyy  :o >:(

He is Lakers GM in CB Historical draft...fate can be cruel sometimes.  ;D

Yeah, BFM and j804...I've been assigned to to Basketball Dungeon, lol...I suppose I have utmost respect for LA, though.

They've had some great players over the years. I have a good plan for how to remake their roster for this draft, but it will have some Celtics on it more than likely ;D

This thread makes me sad.  :'(

Why? I think when it's all said and done, both OKC and BOS will make out in this trade...I really do.

Jeff (and Nenad, too) seemed to making strides there towards the end of the MIA series.

With a full training camp, both will be even better acclimated to what Boston does.

Perk, while clearly not quite himself this season, will be fully healed next season. He and Serge will form a formidable frontline to matchup with MEM and LA for next few years, plus they have Nick Collison and Nazr backing them up.

Most of us miss Perk, but he'll be fine.

Bingo! The trade may work out for both teams. Perk will definitely be what OKC needs in the middle for the next few years. He is exactly what the Celtics needed the last few years until his injuries.

As for the other comments, I think what most people who are defending Danny are saying is that the injured Perk of this season could not have carried the Celtics to the promised land.  There are some on this board who are incorrectly intimating that the trade cost the C's the title this season. They were ready to come out in full force against Danny the second Boston got eliminated.  Because of the injury to Rondo, that point is now moot.

I would love to see Perk and OKC succeed though....at least for Kobe's last few seasons.
We all think we know more than we really do....
