Lets take a look at how he stacks up against Tony Parker his 2nd year in the league and the year he claimed his first of 3 rings...

FG% - .492 > 464 Rajon

Rebounds - 4.2 > 2.6 Rajon

Steals - 129 > 71 Rajon

PPG - 10.6 < 15.5 Tony

Assists - 5.1 < 5.3 Tony

Blocks - 13 > 4 Rajon

Turnovers - 146 > 198 Rajon

As the history continues to pile here, It'll be interesting to see what was going on when members first logged in!  :)

Here's what I found while searching:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_National_Basketball_Association_players_with_most_championship_rings

Not sure about the Sam question. I'd say that he would be the only one but that is hard to check.

/edit
I did some more digging.

Here is the list of players with four or more titles from basketballreference.com

     Bill Russell     BOS
    Sam Jones    BOS
   John Havlicek    BOS
   Tom Heinsohn    BOS
   K.C. Jones    BOS
   Tom Sanders    BOS
    Robert Horry    HOU/LAL/SAS    1
   Frank Ramsey    BOS
   Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
   Bob Cousy    BOS
   Michael Jordan    CHI
   Jim Loscutoff    BOS
   Scottie Pippen    CHI
    Michael Cooper    LAL
   Ron Harper    CHI/LAL
   Magic Johnson    LAL
   Steve Kerr    CHI/SAS
   Slater Martin    MNL/STL
   Don Nelson    BOS
   Dennis Rodman    DET/CHI
   Larry Siegfried    BOS
   Tim Duncan    SAS
   Horace Grant    CHI/LAL
   George Mikan    MNL
   Vern Mikkelsen    MNL
   Shaquille O'Neal LAL/MIA
   Robert Parish    BOS/CHI
   Will Perdue    CHI/SAS
   Jim Pollard    MNL
   Kurt Rambis    LAL
   John Salley    DET/CHI/LAL
   Pep Saul    ROC/MNL
   Bill Sharman    BOS

Going through the list no one has started and then ended their careers with two titles. However Jim Pollard would have had he not played for one more year in 54-55!
In a thread you started Jsaad, titled random thoughts.

My first post was probably on CelticsBlog v. 2.0, which sadly isn't archived.  Also, we had a crash here where we lost the vast majority of posts from prior to April 2008, unfortunately.

The earliest one of mine that we have a record of is:

This is going to be our "official" thread.  Please post all future Happy Birthday messages in here.  Oh, and keep up the good work.  Happy birthday to everybody I missed in January and so far in February.

Oh, and don't forget, my birthday is in August.  PM me, and I'll give you the address where you can send my gifts. ;) ;)

-Roy

My *actual* first post had something to do with the Antoine Walker trade with Atlanta, I'm pretty sure.

I'M THE SILVERBACK GORILLA IN THIS MOTHER... AND DON'T NONE OF YA'LL EVER FORGET IT!

KP / Giannis / Turkuglu / Jrue / Curry
Sabonis / Brand / A. Thompson / Oladipo / Brunson
Jordan / Bowen

My first post was about me trolling a lakers blog haha

I just created an account on that blog just to bust them, this was my post.

i hate how garnett talked trash at odom!! i word for celtics "bynum"

Your word for celtics fans is a player who has played maybe 40 good nba games in his career, and is just coming of major surgery that he should have recovered from months ago?(PS you lost both games this season with Bynum in the lineup)

And if the Lakers didn't give up on the game it wouldn't have been a blowout. Why should we show the Lakers respect when they don't respect themselves, or the game enough to play it till the end.

And as far as KG taunting Odom. Odom has been taunting and sticking his tongue out all series. (That is when he doesn't sit on the bench in foul trouble) and KG has more heart than any of your players that gave up on the game.

Celts were the better team and better people in general and deserved to win.

  • Be the posts you wish to see in the world.
Mine predates the archives, but it was a shamelessly gushing post about the 07-08 team called "Celtics Thanksgiving".  Would've been right around the All-Star Break.

The earliest one I can find is some dumb draft analysis stuff that's not really worth posting.

My first post on Celticsblog.com was in the topic on October 15th, 2009 entitled "LeBron May Have Swine-Flu". Oh, the memories...

...and finally, here is probably my favorite post that I personally have made on this blog:

I don't remember exactly, but I know it was a response to Edgar's "Welcome" message ... I think many ignore it, but it seemed so special to get that attention, that I felt obliged to reply when he asked: "Tell us about yourself" ... or something to that effect. ;)

That was post # 13967 of the reboot.  I had a coupe 1000 before the reboot I believe.

I wonder how that request turned out.
