Hinrich for Nate, Daniels and Von Wafer.

I am sure the Celtics would have to give up a 1st as well.

Do I think either team would do it, not sure, but the money works.  (with DC saving money this year and next)

I'd do it, but I have always liked Captain Kirk more than most. He can run the second unit a lot better than Nate, Delonte, Avery, or Marquis, and he is an excellent defender. Plus, it would open two spots for buyout players.

If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Keep Wafer and put in Harangody and I'm in.

ehh I don't think Hinrich really fits a need. He and Delonte are very similar players. If Delonte were out for the rest of the year I would be for it , but it looks like he will be back within the next month.

We need a defender/ Spot up shooter at the SF .

Someone like Arron Afflalo, but not sure we have the pieces to get him?

Fails in terms of matching money.

No thanks. I like Hinrich, but I don't the idea of giving up our only backup 2/3 at the moment. Can we make this deal for Shane Battier instead?

I think I'd do this trade.  Hinrich is small but he can actually guard 3's at times because he is so physical and tenacious.  And obviously he is a nice backup point.  His toughness and defensive mentality would be a perfect fit.  Then we would have a roster spot for an additional pickup too.

Agreed, he can most assuredly play the backup 3.  We saw him play Pierce pretty well just a few years ago.  And if he can play Pierce he can play any SF in the league in small snippets.  It also frees up another spot to acquire another player via buyout if the C's need another big down the line.  Also as mentioned he can play the backup PG and let delonte play his natural position.

TP for this trade idea which actually has some validity to it.

any way to get Josh Howard out of the deal as well?  maybe include Bradley?

Next year I'd love him on team.  I'd move Delonte & Nate to have him as combo guard off bench.  I think this years team stands pat.  Of course if we could get him for package wdleehi I would do it but I doubt Washington would take us up.

not really unless you also include West.

so Nate, Daniels, Von Wafer, Bradley, West for HOward and Hinrich works.

This also works and I'd rather do this.  JO, Daniels, Von Wafer for Howard and Hinrich.

In either case I think we have to throw in a first and perhaps some cash.

I'd assume what the Wiz will want most for Hinrich (or any other vet -- i.e. Howard) is a pick. They want young talent, of which we have very little. Maybe Bradley would be interesting but I don't see them swapping Hinrich for Nate.

I am a huge fan of Kirk H.  and think he'd be great in green.  The move provides a nice boost off the bench for the Cs and some salary cap relief for the Wiz.  The big issue for the Cs after this trade would be finding backup SF help.
Celtics fan for life.

Hinrich can actually guard some 3s too.  He's always bothered Pierce. It would be nice if we could find a way to keep Wafer.  Hinrich can play multiple positions but not all at once!

Maybe the Celtics hope Howard would then be waived?

I have a hard time thinking this will be the best offer.

But in terms of the Celtics, Hinrich is a big PG that has guarded SFs in the past.  I wouldn't want him on Lebron for a very long time, but for spot minutes, it could work.

Plus, he is a better PG then both Nate and West.  West can be more of a shooter off the bench instead of a PG.

The Celtics improve as a team, but still have a hole at SF.  It also opens up roster spots to try and fill that hole.
