I also think that Marquis and a 1st for Jamario Moon is the best realistic option.

Reasons:
1. He probably covered LeBron every day in practice and knows him well;
2. Dan Gilbert would probably OK the trade just to give us an edge on the heat;
3. Cavs are rebuilding and would find a pick attractive;
4. Moon and Daniels both expire after this year - little risk for anyone.

How is that realistic? The Cavs are going to be looking to rebuild, why on earth would they say yes to someone who WE aren't even sure will step onto the court another day in his life?

We are going to be stuck with JO/Marquis because for the same reasons people want to get rid of them, others WON'T take them.

Im more frustrated with these constant trade threads over the injuries we have.  :shakes fist:

My proposal includes a first round pick from the C's to the Cavs. Please explain why you don't think that the Cavs would trade Moon for a pick, given that the Cavs are rebuilding.

Okay, no joke, do you think the Knicks would trade Bill Walker back? Maybe for Wafer?

Cut Wafer who will be expendable when West comes back.  Call up DeShawn Sims from the Red Claws.

I think they'd give up Moon for a 2nd rounder + cash, I don't think the organization values him much. Byron Scott certainly doesn't.

Carlos Delfino for Nate Robinson works... salary-wise at least.

Milwaukee has three other small forwards, so they probably wouldn't miss him there, but I think they need a backup center more than a PG. Also I'd be afraid of the Skiles/Robinson relationship.

I wouldn't give up a draft pick for Moon. The guy is 30 and never was an impact really. If Scott doesn't value him on a team that has lost a record amount of games then that tells me how "good" Moon is.
I don't know what the C's will do but even Doc said on a website that depending on how long Marquis is out they might need to make a move.

Has Stephane Lasme recovered from his foot injury yet? I love the kids Defense and hustle . He is not much of an outside shooter, but he proved he could play great defense in the preseason at the SF and PF positions.

He would also be great backup for KG and insurance for BBD( BBD may have to play some mins at C)

I would sign him to a 10 day contract immediately and the explore options for trades

IIRC, the Celtics were interested in Moon before Cleveland signed him.  I think Cleveland would do this trade (Daniels and a 1st round pick) in a heartbeat, but I’m not sure the Celtics would.  Ainge prizes his draft picks and doesn’t concede them readily.  I think he’d be more likely to try and lowball Cleveland with an offer of Daniels, a 2nd rounder or Luke Harangody and some cash to pay Daniels’ salary.  Cleveland might do it, too.  I don’t think anyone else is going to offer them a 1st rounder or talented prospect for Moon.

I like Moon.  Mediocre man defender but a useful cog in the team defense because he knows how to use his length and athleticism to grab defensive boards, block some shots and play the passing lanes.  He’ll also fill a lane on the fast break.  And he’d be more of a threat than Daniels from deep (not by much though).

Not sure Doc would be enamored with adding a wing with so little offensive ability, unless he’s truly dominant defensively.   Rodney Carney’s been available forever and we’ve never even tried for him.  Guys like Lasme, Dahntay Jones, JR Giddens and Brandon Wallace always intrigued him with their athleticism and defensive mindsets, but they always lose out.  TA’s offensive potential and defensive dominance made him the exception (and even he lost out on minutes to Daniels when they were both healthy).

Anthony Parker on the other hand might be more tempting to him.  Elite spot-up shooter, with a skilled offensive game to absorb Daniels’ usage, and an underwhelming, but competent defensive player (unless he’s chasing Ray Allen off screens).  Not sure if Doc views him as a 2/3 like Daniels or more exclusively as a 2.

Really, though, I think they have to try to land TA.  He’s a proven asset to this team and he’d be needed more than ever with Rose, Wade, LeBron and Kobe looming as likely playoff opponents.  He’d also be less of an offensive liability with Delonte on board to space the floor and create scoring opportunities.  Having Delonte and TA manning the perimeter defense would also make me feel a lot better about having Shaq come off the bench.  And have I mentioned that he’s averaging an utterly ridiculous 3.7 steals per 36 minutes this season?  Insane.

Memphis has some value for him, but not appreciably more than Sam Young.  They’re also going to be in need of some cash if they want to keep Randolph and Gasol.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I love Terrence Williams' potential, but he is not a good fit for this role.  They need someone who can come in quickly, pick up the system, and play his role.  That is not Williams' MO.

Sorry just got here ..

Hey! What's that smell?

Did someone say Gerald Green again?!
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.

I'll take his potential over a rental. Terrence has shown enough to warrant play. Its his extracurricular activity off the court that stifled him. Even as a future piece to the puzzle, I wouldn't think twice making a trade for him. As long as, Avery isn't involved in the transaction. And if he is too expensive, Rasual Butler and Anthony Parker are rotation players. Wouldn't mind either one of them.
