He had only 4 points, and his shot was off, but his energy in the second half was one of the biggest keys to last night's win vs. Kings. 5 steals. Wow.  Shows that he does not have to have a hot hand to contribute.  Gave Rondo some needed rest. Also showed very good decision making down the stretch. He has matured so much since coming to the Celtics.  Way to go, Nate.

I wont say great
but he was good to very good
very commited in deffense and high energy.
HE was rushing things a lot but after one penetration seems like
he pull that together

I think the problem with Nate is he isn't a player where things come to him like Ray,Paul, and KG I think in order for Nate to score at will he needs to dominate the ball. Which is not in our offense. but I would like to see Nate attack a lot more. Cause he looked good going to the rim. But one thing I loved from Nate last night was his defense! Played very good D at the end of the game.

As I've said before, he does better when he isn't running the point.  He played 22 minutes last night and Rondo played 36, so about 10 of their minutes overlapped.

I think Doc needs to keep this in mind even before Delonte comes back.  Stop letting Nate handle the ball and instead let Daniels, Pierce, or Allen do it when Rondo isn't in the game.

As Max pointed out during the game, the coaches want Nate to use one of his strongest assets, which is his quickness.  He got to the rim that way.  I really don't mind Nate handling the ball but he has to do more than hoist up jump shots.  The ball has to keep moving and what's more, if he drives to rim (as Rondo does) it will open up his jump shot.  It doesn't work the other way around (using the jumper to open up the drive) if you're missing.

Beyond that, Nate's energy (diving to the floor, defense) was excellent.

I think Nate has to penetrate more. He certainly can do it. I just think he settles for that 3 too much when he's quick enough to get points in the lane and closer to the hoop. We didn't trade Eddie House to get an "Eddie House" back. Nate's game is more diversified and he needs to be reminded of that sometimes.

I was glad to see him not give up after not playing well in the 1st half.

And after going 1-6 missing all those jumpers, taking it to the rim was smart

I only saw the last 6 or so minutes of the game. So was Nate really playing that well, or was Rondo hurt? Or were we just up enough that Rondo didnt need to be in? Just curious.

Nate can be a difference maker and that's why he is valuable to this team.  If he can influence one game per playoff series, that will be a great contribution.  He definitely influenced last night's game and it was great that he showed he can change a game on a bad shooting night.

I think it was a combination of all three.  Although, I don't think Rondo was any more hurt than he has been for the majority of the season.  Doc could have put him back in, but Nate's play meant he didn't have to.
