Yeah, this is Morse code for "Mitch Kupchak: Call Chris Wallace."

Don't be surprised when we hear Gay and Randolph heading to the Lakers for Walton, Ratliff and fillers.
(laughing)!

All interpretations of the intent and purpose of West's comments aside, let me just say that this was the best thread title I've seen in a very long time.

Thank you -- made my day.

TP. I can't laugh about it, because it's scary.

But I wouldn't want Gay nor Randolph in green. I'd rather have Mayo and Marc Gasol. That would scare me a lot more

It's worth mentioning that Jackson said that the most important thing for an older team is to control the tempo of the game. We have a point guard that can do that, they really don't.

Well, it's good to see someone say the Lakers are old, because they are.  Quite frankly, I wouldn't be upset to see Lamar, Artest, or even Kobe go down with something serious.  If we can lose out opportunities at titles because of injuries, I certainly won't be upset to see Father Time catch up with the Lakers too.

However, West's comments are all crap.  If the C's can play great defense, so can the Lakers (at least theoretically).

i felt cheated by the basketball gods that Perk went down with injury in game 6. coz i was 95% sure that we would've been victorious in game 7 if we had Perk.

I wouldnt go as far as calling them old.  I would say they are unathletic.  However, as unathletic as they may be the Lakers have some serious depth at the 4-5 spot.  I hate to say it but those jerks probabally has one of the best front lines in the NBA.  AND at SG position they have depth with Kobe/Brown/Barnes.  the only place they lack both defensively and offensively is Point Guard position.  I wouldnt write off Artest just yet.  in January alone he has averaged 45% FG and 49% from 3 point land.  and defensively he has averaged about 2 steals per game.  The celtics can beat these guys becuase offensively we are better than them at the 3 spot and the 1.  If rondo controls the offense of the game from the start the C's will have no problem beating the Flakers

I 100% agree however we cant dwell on last season with this argument becuase you know flakers are coming back with the same argument about 2008 and 2010 about how Bynum was MIA in 08 and injured in 2010.  Perk was the starting center for our team just like how Bynum was for the Lakers.

Also we had our chances in Game 6 and we blew it.  Perk went down with 7 minutes logged and then andrew went down with only 16 minutes logged If I recall I do not think he played the second half.  We had our chance to seal the deal in game 6 in LA and the C's blew it.  I was more p---ed off at game 6 than I was in Game 7

I just cant wait till we get revenge when all players are healthy so flaker fans have no excuses
