Maybe they could trade Nate for Von Wafer.  He looks like he'd be an upgrade right now.

That said, Delonte and Nate looked great in the pre-season together, so I'm anxious to see how that combo works out once we get back to full strength.

Lay off Nate, and don't 'sell' him (reference to title of OP).
I still believe he will be a necessary piece for us in the playoffs.

I think we should go after Troy Murphy, and trade Nate,BBD, and JO for a legit SF and backup PG...ideas:

Prince and Will Bynum
Capt Jack and Livingston
Battier and Lowry
Kirilenko and Watson
Can't stop, Rondo!

I dont think we can trade BBD and JO together - that leaves us with a 38 year-old Shaq, Perk coming off a huge injury, KG with his leg/knee problems and Erden.  If we do not get a big man in return, we are sacrificing too much size, given our current situation.

I have made it obvious in other posts that I am a fan of Nate and I see that he is playing poorly right now but I wouldn't trade him. When Rondo went down and West wasn't available Nate became important because we didn't have to worry about someone playing big PG minutes and starting who hasn't... because he has. And he didn't do that horrible of a job either.

Some have mentioned that we should try to go after Rip but I think Rip still wants to be a starter and if I remember correctly he was not happy that he was benched for Gordon and became the back up for a while and then he saw no minutes so... would he except a role of 9 or so minutes a night?? I don't know.

I do agree however that Nate is a trade asset but giving up on him just cause of a cold streak isn't fair. That happens when you play out of position and West will make Nate better. Now if he is still playing poorly after West comes back then maybe take a few calls for him but let's see if he can put it together when Delonte is back.

Nate can't bring back anything of value because he has little value himself. We are probably stuck with him and JO.

I think the C's have to see what Nate will do when Delonte returns.   He has been a much more effective player when not in a PG mindset.

Nate is a guy who can win you a playoff game down the road.  On a team this deep, why trade an explosive guy who could get red hot at the right time.  He has more value to us than to any other team right now, IMO.

When west comes back, Nate should get no more than 5 minutes a game.

Do we consider trading Nate for someone who may not have as high a ceiling as him but will give us more consistent PG play?

Is it likely that Von Wafer would also play well at SG, when teamed with Delonte?

I've never been anti-Nate but wondering if there might be a better fit for us somewhere.

I don't think we can get anything for Nate right now. Lets just hold on until West gets back and see how things turn out. He could turn it around and be a big plus before it's all over with.

Pietrus! He racked up another DNP tonight. Gary Washburn reported that him and Josh Childress are out of Gentry's rotation.

We get it... you hate Nate... move on. The guy will never be on your good side... even if he dropped like a triple double... we get it... yawn. lol.

I would do this in a heartbeat. Yes we one by 17 tonight but I was watching him closely and his shot selection is STILL awful. He just does not think. Luckily we were playing the Cavs but he could have once again shot us right out of the game.

I was a big fan of Nate last post season but...if we can get something, anything of value for him I have no problem seeing him go.
