Amen to this... He still took ten shots which to me is a lot coming off the bench and he only grabbed three rebounds. But he still played a pretty decent game. Much better than he played as a starter.

10 shots is not a lot for the main offensive weapon off the bench. His shots may go down a bit when Delonte returns.  He'll be able to help with some balanced scoring off the bench.

The good thing about his 10 shots:

1) He made 6 of them; but more importantly

2) Most of his shot attempts were inside.

I hate the games where BBD takes 13 jumpers.  If he wants to take 10 shots, with around 4 jumpers, perfect.  Also, he moved the ball, which is something he'd been forgetting to do.  Doing so got some good looks for Shaq and KG.

If BBD plays every night like last night, I'll be happy, even with the sub-par rebounding.

Same as Roy.
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

Eddie20, I disagree with you about BBD being a poor passer. The past few weeks he's sometimes not passed enough, but he's pretty talented for a big man.

KG and Shaq are probably better passers, but they set a pretty high bar. Though Shaq gets too cute for my liking about once a game.

There was only so much of baby starting that I could take.

Baby did what he was supposed to tonight, take a couple of shots, get a couple of rebounds, get a couple of hustle plays, get a couple of points. He didnt really have a great game, but hes a bench player and he isnt going to be consistent.

Welcome back KG, its amazing how much you do for this team.

I would classify it as obvious not really amazing but, Boston is stronger with BBD coming off the bench.  No doubt.  I'll disagree with you on the consistency point that doesn't really appear to be on point.

Completely agree.

To be honest, I don't care if he's getting 15 attempts per night, as long as two thirds of them come within 8ish feet of the hoop. He's got SUCH good footwork on offense (and defense, for that matter), and it's so frustrating to see him settle for contested jumpers.

I fully admit that his mid-range shot is one of his assets now, and he's improved his range ten-fold since coming into the league, but he's definitely at his best when he's working down low, getting dirty buckets instead of settling for the jumpers.

That being said, his eFG% is .463 (higher than his career average of .455) -- and the highest since his rookie year. Certainly interesting.

Yeah, Baby is a really good passer. He's also getting good at picking off passes.

  • No contaban con mi astucia !!!
hes still good at being block and feel free to deffend him of that... ;)
and i am not patronizing
I love BBD, as a celtic, as much as the next guy, but he still have a lot to show, a lot, or being effective where he wants .
I love the guy but i am tired of overreaction over good performances.
Hes easy to love i get it, and i am ok with it, and sometimes, specially when he play the powe, he is great to have in a team, all his outside plays seems like a try to survive ir to get something else, playing something hes not, and in the long run that usually hurts more than helps
