3-4 seasons ago when i first saw Blake play in the NCAA tournament i said he will someday be one of the beast of the NBA.Also i felt maybe he could challenge Lebron for the best player in the NBA oneday soon.I feel he is further alone in his development than James was at this stage of his career.Go Blake(Poster Child).
I wonder how the missed season affected him.
I'm sure it mentally prepared him, and this is much better than he would have been last year. But I feel if this was his second season after a rookie campaign, he would be EVEN better.
Yeah, I can definitely see this guy winning some MVP's.
Heck, if the Clippers can sneak into the playoffs (unlikely but possible), he
should be an MVP candidate this season.
Look at his progression:
October (3 games) - 16.7 PPG, 11.0 RPG, 2.3 APG
November (15 games) - 20.9 PPG, 11.7 RPG, 2.7 APG
December (15 games) - 23.0 PPG, 13.5 RPG, 3.9 APG
January (7 games) - 27.6 PPG, 14.4 RPG, 4.0 APG
Just getting better and better.
He could finish the season at 25, 13, and 4....as a 21-year-old rookie!
Comaparable/better numbers than Duncan (finished 5th in MVP voting and made playoffs), Shaq (7th, missed playoffs), and Robinson (6th, made playoffs).
That's some rarefied air in the last 20+ years.
