and Wade on the loss says it was because the back to back and no preparation without Lebron LOL

:'(

Quote
"Nothing to be alarmed about," Wade insisted. "It's part of the NBA season. It's a tough back-to-back for us."

Wade said there simply has not been a lot of non-LeBron preparation.

"It kind of threw us off a little bit," he said. "We didn't have a lot of time to adjust."

Yes, the poor Heat. The nba usually gives the Celts a week or two to practice when KG or Rondo are going to be out of the lineup.

If two losses in a row equals a collapse does that mean the Celtics have collapsed 3 times already this year?

Just wondering.

Couldn't even believe this thread was made.

Completely absurd.  And they don't even have their best player on a not deep team for last nights game.

I really wish there was a way to take away TP's sometimes.

Remember this thread when LeBron returns and they smash on teams like before.  If anything I think this proves that LeBron deserves MVP consideration.  I think he has the strongest case, and he still is the best player in the league by a good ammount.  Doens't matter if he plays with good players.

Since my thread about the Heat being absolutely ridiculous, which stated my belief that they might not lose more than 5 or 6 games the rest of the year, they have lost twice, including a blowout in Denver. In addition, Mr. Karma suffered an ankle injury.  ;D

I think I jinxed them -- Nice!

this is blatant politicking for TP's ...and it worked - TP :)

I think you're missing out on the tongue in cheek nature of the original poster, who seems to be almost as enamored with the Heat as you are. And the Heat don't exactly excel when Wade's out of the lineup or playing poorly, and I doubt they'd be world beaters without Bosh. All the game showed was that the Heat are a flawed team, and until they beat a good team in the playoffs they've accomplished nothing.

Pretty sure it was Mr. Karma that jinxed them.  Anyway, no team with their utter lack of depth is going to be able to win 65+ games.  Around 60 sounds right to me.
TP,that game aganist the Nuggets really exposed their bench for what it is,a collection of losers.Imagine them losing one of their new threesome to foul trouble for most of a game.If i was coaching aganist them in the future thats an angle worth exploring seeing that their bench is very weak.

I wasn't aiming at the OP, just some of the repsonses.

I suppose I am enamored with good basketball.  They are a flawed team anyways, but when a team is not deep and doesn't have its best player (and the leagues best player) and gets beat on a back to back... well it doesn't mean anything.

The regular season overreactions are silly.  Like nick said I guess we have collapsed a few times already.  Keep bouncing back though, good for us I guess  ::)

I don't think the heatles have had much time for a lot of "non-Wade preparation" either.

It just shows how the team will struggle with injuries due to their lack of depth.

They continue their (new) streak in Chicago next!

Way to go, vinnie!

The Celts don't "collapse", they "clean off the bandwagon a little".

The Heat aren't as good as they've shown lately. Look, they're definitely one of the top 3 teams in the East, but they had their big winning streak without playing a lot of very good teams. When they play a top team, they generally lose. Unlike other top teams, they also have no chance if one of their top guys is injured. We've been winning without KG or Rondo for stretches. Lakers won without Bynum. The Heat have won without key role players (Haslem), but they cannot win without one of their key cogs. Again, very good team, but overrated, at least right now. I wouldn't pick them in a playoff series against Orlando or us...or maybe even Chicago at full strength.

As much as I would enjoy it if the Miami Heat's losing streak were to continue through their Saturday night game against the Chicago Bulls I have to side with the starter of this topic who admitted that he thought the Miami Heat was unbeatable when he created another topic stating how 'rediculous' they were.

As far as LeBron James' ankle injury is concerned, according to  Sam Westmoreland of http://www.bleacherreport.com/ LeBron James is currently listed as "day-to-day" so there is a good chance that he may be healthy by tommorow night. This would be after missing his first game this season on Thursday vs the Denver Nuggets which is also the first game he has missed since becoming a member of the Miami Heat.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are playing the Denver Nuggets on the road on Saturday night as well, so there is the real possibility that the Cavs' losing streak might extend to 12 games that night. Lets hope that in LeBron's case this whole 'Karma tweet' story blows over and he can return to doing what he loves and excels at. Appearently the specific tweet about the Cavaliers woe's being associated with 'Karma' and also the fact that God is always watching wasn't made by LeBron James, or in either case he denies ever making that tweet so he shouldn't be held responsible for something like that leaking.   :)
