Considering how that Kings team was a great team in itself, and this was a road game, KG's play was amazing.
That was the year Chris Webber missed most of the season with injury, and, after he came back he had lost nearly all of his athleticism and couldn't barely move on the court.
Kevin Garnett had a massive advantage in one-on-one matchups against Webber as a result and just as big an advantage against the old and slow Vlade Divac and the slow Brad Miller.
None of Sacramento's big men were remotely able to stop Kevin Garnett in isolation situations. All Kevin had to do was face up and either drive or shoot ... nothing they could do to deny him a high percentage shot attempt.
You rarely see a playoff team so incapable of defending a star talent ... as Sacramento were in defending Garnett. Just too quick and too athletic for any of their guys.
Kevin Garnett should have destroyed that Sacramento squad.
There was nothing they could do to stop Garnett. They just didn't have the man power. Their bigs were too slow and too vulnerable defensively when matched up against a player like KG (an explosive athlete + skilled offensive face up big man).
