We need Rondo back. Our offense looks like Miami. Bunch of one-on-one standing around, nobody is moving. Pierce is playing his worst game of the year. KG isnt doing much. Shaq keeps getting fouls called on him.

We arent hitting much of our shots and cant play defense due to being in the penalty. All around terrible game so far, hope this changes in the 2nd half, I assume it will.

How many consecutive trips to the free throw line for the 76ers here? Just penetrating at will..

Paul is absolute garbage out there!! Doc should stick him to the bench, put Marquis at his spot and Bradley at the point since Nate has 3 fouls. At least Bradley plays D.

Celtics are more like a 47-50 win team than a Championship caliber side when they are without Rajon Rondo + Perk and Jermaine.

Still, they should have more than enough talent to handle the Philadelphia 76ers. The Sixers are a pathetic team defensively in the paint + in team defense from their big men.

Jodie Meeks is also one of the weakest SGs in the league. Ray Allen has a major matchup advantage. Keep going to Ray. It'll pay dividends.

Iggy can defend Pierce + Holiday can defend Nate. Boston needs to run the majority of it's offensive actions through Shaq, Ray and Garnett instead. If they rely too heavily on Pierce and Nate, Pierce especially, their offense will be vulnerable to Phily's defensive strengths.

Ball movement is big too. Phily's big men can't make defensive rotations. One or two rotations and they are lost and you'll get an easy shot each time down the court. Can't have players killing the clock dribbling the ball (read: Nate + Paul).

Like they say, The game comes down to match-ups. Sixers give the Celtics fits as far as the matchups. Celtics need to execute better to beat the Sixers.

Pierce is disinterested tonight. I notice lately he's been fouling jump shooters a lot.

  • Thank you Eddie!
Why do a lot of mediocre to awful teams seem to play like title contenders against the Celtics and cower in fear at the sight of Lebron and Wade?

The offense is a mess without Rondo or Nate out there.  Just running plays is a patchwork mess with lots of guys out of their comfort zone.  Just gotta play through it.

I expect us to come out hard in the 2nd and close this gap quickly.

The first three or four minutes of the 3rd quarter are going to show if the C's want this one or not.

Well, down 6 is "OK" considering how badly we've played but we need to come on fire in the 3rd to get back in this one. Pierce has been terrible and the biggest reason why we are down, he sucks on D, giving Iguodala free ways to the basket and picking up really dumb fouls, and he just turns the ball over on the other end.
