2009/10 -- 1518 points on 1285 FGA, 397 FTA and 233 TOs
2010/11 -- 424 points on 357 FGA, 81 FTA and 79 TOs

An average of about 0.88 points per possession which is well below average.

Stephen Jackson is a solid offensive player because of his range of skills and ability to create matchup problems as a big two guard ... but his lack of efficiency limits him as a go-to scorer on a top team.

Ideally, a third or a fourth scoring option. He'd function well in that role.
A team that should make a run at Stephen Jackson is the Orlando Magic.

He'd be a nice get for Orlando if they could get him cheap.

That's interesting.  He'd make a lot of sense for them.  They might not even have to trade Vince to get him.

If the owner was willing to shell out the money...

Vince Carter
Brandon Bass
2010 #1 pick

for

Gerald Wallace
Stephen Jackson

makes a lot of sense for both sides

Bass really isn't a prospect at this point. No point in moving Wallace for him.

That trade probably helps the Magic, but it could pave the way for Howard to leave....

Still, you're clearing 18 mil in salaries, gaining a pick and a rotational player in Bass.

You're probably right though, if Wallace is involved in the trade you could probably do better.

Clearing salary doesn't help a rebuilding team nearly as much as young cheap talent.

At the same time, I don't know how much young talent you can get for Wallace. Contending teams are going to want him, but won't have the pieces. And team with the pieces probably don't want him as much b/c he's more of a (incredibly good) complimentary star.

Would the Kings give up on Demarcus Cousins this early?
EDIT: I wonder if the Thunder would consider him

On both counts: No.

DeMarcus has shown flashes of brilliance despite his inconsistency, and everybody expected him to be a little bit hard to handle at first.  No way would they give up on him yet.

Gerald Wallace isn't a fit for the Thunder at all.  Not the kind of player they need.
