The first All-Star returns were released today:

http://www.nba.com/2010/news/12/16/allstar-ballot-results/index.html

LeBron is first at forward of course but Garnett is second by a significant margin over Amare. Pierce sits at the fourth spot.

Dwyane Wade leads guards, but Rondo is in second over Derrick Rose. Not by a lot, but still looks like people around the NBA are starting to respect his game more. Ray Allen is fourth.

Dwight is first at center of course by a huge margin but Shaq is again second. The coaches won't vote him in so he really doesn't have a chance, but clearly his name still means something to fans.

So, if voting closed today the Celtics would have two starters, and Pierce is a perennial lock for bench. Not bad at all. Keep voting though! We have to hold Rondo's starting spot over Rose.

In order for Shaq to get in, he needs to first get back healthy and play.

Second, Bogut needs to either fall into a tremendous slump or get injured.

If he gets healthy maybe he has a slight chance, but I still don't see the coaches voting him in over Noah, Lopez, Bargnani, Horford and Bogut.

Also Rondo is 5th overall in votes, granted the East isn't as deep as the West at the guard spot but that's still impressive.

Where's Tony? I'm disgusted.

As in injured? He's active right now, played last night.

I thought he had surgery on his thumb yesterday.

Oh he had surgery today actually. Still, Shaq has a lot of competition at that spot especially considering how many games he's missed.

I believe the league selects replacements so I don't think voting has anything to do with it, I could be wrong though.

Judging by these results, the C's starting 5 are all going to be all-stars this year. KG/Rondo the starters, Allen/Pierce/Shaq as the reserves.

Woot!

The vote totals do not determine the reserves in any way though.
