I just posted this in another blog. I know we going to trade some picks but since I can't predict that, here is whoI want in the draft.

1st Round

17. Cameron Jordan DE, Cal
32. Stefen Wisniewski C, Penn St

2nd Round

33. Rodney Hudson OG, FSU
64. Jeremy Beal OLB, OU

3rd Round

74. Titus Young WR, BSU
96. Johnny Patrick CB, Lousiville

I really like what you are thinking here.  Don't know much about the second round guys, but I love beefing up the lines here.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Andrew Luck staying in school! That makes the #1 pick a little more interesting.

You're the Panthers. No Luck.  What do you do? I say trade down. Get as many offensive weapons and blockers as possible for the young Qbs.

I just realized the Pats have the Panther's 2nd rounder. That's the top 2nd rounder overall. That's essentially the best pick in the draft bang for buckwise. That makes me a tiny bit happier

One thing that's rough is the Pats have a lot of needs. More than what you'd think off the top of your head. The only pretty decent positions are QB, RB, and TE.  Every other position needs help.

Our first round pick moves up. It won't be 32 anymore, it will be 28 now.

I read an interesting point today that due to the QBs in this draft being sorta of an unsure thing, but a lot of teams needing or wanting one teams may want to trade up from the 2nd round, or possibly down to select guys like Locker, Ponder, Mallet, etc in the 20s range.  That is right where the Pats pick and with the Pats not having a QB problem they could be trading out of the slot easily.

The Browns, Cards, Bengals, Vikings, Titans, Redskins, 49ers, and Cards all have high 2nd rounders.

There are several other teams without QB needs picking close to us that could also trade down. Atlanta, Jets, Pitt, Green Bay

Also I don't think they'll take a 1rst rnd RB.

I don't think Ingram gets by the Dolphins.  Both Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown are unsigned and last year's top two rbs  (Blount and Corey Ivey or something) were undrafted I think.  Plus we have decent RBs.  They need some help, but to draft this high when we have a 1000 yard guy still getting better just doesn't make lots of sense to me. It would be better to get linemen to make his job easier than to bench him and get someone else.

Though I agree that Ingram wont get by Miami, remember Green-Ellis is a restricted free agent.  If someone wants to sign him, they give up a 2nd rounder, but that's not a big price to pay for someone who rushed for 1000 yards and 13 TDs.   I also would prefer Ingram over Green-Ellis though if possible.  I think Ingram has superstar potential, while I think Green-Ellis will regress stay around 1000 yards, but I'd be surprised if 13 TD's happen again.

I think the 28 is gone.  I don't believe Bill hangs onto it, especially if he can get a 1 (2012) and a 3 or 4 in this years.

I just hope with the 17, he makes a splash like a big time DE to pressure and sack the QB.

I think my biggest pet peeve about Belichick is that he has made the draft so much less fun.  He always trades down, and he always picks someone no one saw coming, who turns out to be very good.  Its such a buzzkill if you have been paying attention to mocks and all that.

Patrick chung is one of my favorite examples of that.  I had no idea who he was.

Yeah, and he wasn't nearly as much of a surprise as McCourty and Mankins.

I just remember a genuine "Who the heck is that?" when the Mankins pick was made.  Totally out of nowhere and couldn't have worked out much better.

If the Pats move any early round pick, I'm willing to bet its #33.  Lot of value with comes with that pick.

Kiper's latest mock draft has the Pats using one of their 3rd rounders on PITT WR Jon Baldwin.  A very intriguing pick.
