Agreed 100%.

Hopefully soon he can one of those games where he knocks down 8-10 taking a good chunk off. His 3s last night were nice, solid and swishing away!

What an amazing shooting performance from Ray tonight(13/16FG, 31 points) all but for his last two shots (FT's) which nearly gave me a heart attack! Aw man if we had lost after those FT's...

He's averaging 2+ a game. Based on his pace, he should do it sometime next month. I would love for him to do it at home, and it would be even sweeter if he did it against LA or MIA (2.5-2.6/g for the next 18-19 games will break it against one of those two). So either in the next 20 games or the first two games in March.

It would be much better at home. I wonder what kinda recognition he is going to receive from the media.

Also, playoffs treys don't count.

It would be great if he could do it at home with MIA or LAL, but I doubt he could unless he has a couple of big games (5-7 3's) and also continues hitting 2-3 in the rest of his games.

LAL/MIA is the 18th and 19th game from now respectively, and Ray would need to average 2.5-2.6 per game to make it during either of those. Remember though that in the two games against MIA this year he has connected on 5 and then 7 3-pointers so another big one against MIA could help his tally :)

In one of my earlier posts I said that in playoff matches:

Quote
...Ray (253) is trailing Reggie (320) in 3 pointers made. Ray would probably overtake Reggie with 2 more deep trips into the playoffs, he's made 55, 35 and 56 in the last three seasons respectively.

Ray is averaging 2.1 three's per game, if he continues on that pace he will tie and break the record February 24th @ Denver

If Ray can up his production to 2.5 three's per game ( 5 every 2 games) he would be on pace to break the record on

Feb 10th in Boston vs LAL

or

Feb 13th in Boston vs Miami

 :D
