Here at Stein's power rankings for the week...And there is a new team sitting atop the list...

I don't see how anyone could _not_ have the Hornets on top. They're undefeated, they've played stronger teams than we have, and their margin of victory is well above +9.
I was thinking the exact same thing, but we all know these lists don't matter anyway except for fans like us to have these discussions.
The reason is that Stein is not just basing it on performance. He is also basing it on common perceptions of the teams.

The common perception of N.O. is that they don't have the talent to be a legit contender and are overperforming.

I didn't realize they traded Posey. Interesting how their defense is so much better without him.

I think a lot more people saw the Celtics destroy the Heat than watched the Hornets hold them off.

So who has Posey now?
