I found this interesting, from Wojo's article:
“For myself, 44 minutes is too much,” James declared. “I think Coach Spo knows that. Forty minutes for D-Wade is too much. We have to have as much energy as we can to finish games out.”
I actually agree with LeBron's assessment, he was gassed by the last few minutes of the game.
But whining about playing too many minutes when you were the only thing keeping the Heat in the game? Its not like the C's starters weren't playing big minutes.
With their bench, what is spoel supposed to do?
LeBron's statement sure won't help chemistry - I guess he thinks it's time to shop for a new coach...
This is the problem: Spoelstra doesn't have enough balls to coach Lebron.
Nobody has since Paul Silas, who got lots of TP's from me for saying (in response to a reporter's question "what more can Lebron do?") that Lebron could perhaps play some defense. And Silas got sacked.
If someone with Pat Riley's temperament and reputation were coaching, he could "rest" Lebron right next to him on the bench next game.
I remember a game early in Doc's tenure when Paul didn't get out on the break fast enough. Doc "rested" him for a few minutes in the 4th, and Paul was livid at being taken out. It sent a clear message, though, and the team was better for it.
