Read the date of the article...It's old (from last summer). Not gonna happen though. Why would L.A. change something that's obviously working.

When Kobe retires, L.A. will just get another superstar, because it's Southern California weather, and Jerry Buss is commuted.

I think he would hurt Kobe's game significantly. Like what's happening in Miami, both Kobe and CP3 need the ball to be effective

I don't agree with that at all.  In Miami you have three narcissists who have one ring between them.  In LA, Kobe has won titles with two completely different teams.  The messiah hasn't won anything with teams custom built for him.  Like him or not, Kobe is less interested in showcasing himself and will do what it takes to win.  Paul would be an asset along the lines of Gasol.  On Miami, he'd be an asset along the lines of Bosh.  There's also the difference in coaches.  I despise Phil Jackson.  But in Miami you have a child coaching children.  In LA you have a grownup coaching (Artest aside) grownups.

Not gonna happen. Odom might be the most underrated player in the game and he is quietly showing that he has every skill in the game. The lakers are going for a threepeat, they arent going to drastically change their roster until Kobe is gone.

Could not disagree more. The reason he is so underrated is because he is one of, if not THE, most inconsistent players in the NBA right now. At 6'10", 230lb with a jump shot, he should be a top 15 player in the league. But he's not. Yes, he may be their X-factor because when he's on, he's ON. But that's only less than 50% of the time. As the fourth overall pick in 1999, I think he should be able to produce more than 14/9/4. And those numbers are inflated because his best years were his first few where he played on a terrible Clippers team, ala Chris Bosh on the Raptors.

I blame that all on his personal issues. He had a rough time growing up (with what went on within his family) and now has confidence issues it seems. He has all the skills in the world but just can't seem to get it together mentally.
