I know, I know: it was the second night of a back-to-back (which, by the way, Boston seems to have the most of so far this season), and it was a tough opponent, and on the road, and "it's only one game" (for the second of what will surely be many times this season), but Boston should've won this game, but they didn't, because they played like crap. A Rondo 3-point attempt on the last possession? Sticking with Glen Davis on Nowitzki despite the fact that Nowitzki had no trouble shooting over him all night? Going nearly 7 and 1/2 minutes in the fourth without a field goal? Letting J.J. Berea -- J.J. BEREA! -- torch you for nine points over a four-minute span bridging the second and third quarters? Unbelievable. And unacceptable.

Rondo should've drove.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

KG was guarding Dirk, Chandler set a nice screen and forced the switch off of Dirk.

Its one game.

Congrats. You're the first one (besides me) to say it. But seriously, these guys seem to play hard, and play smart, for only about a quarter of each game. That makes it quite frustrating for me and other fans.

On that play perhaps, but what of all the other Davis-Nowitzki matchups throughout the second half? I know the C's are shorthanded on bigs right now, but at least force Dirk to alter the normal trajectory of his shot.

No need to be rudely sarcastic, I was just pointing out how BBD ended up on Dirk. Again its one game, I'm also a fan I know how it goes.

Jermaine O'Neal was hurt, meanwhile KG played the vast majority of the time Dirk was in there.

Switches happen, and Garnett also needs some rest. BBD was our backup PF and starting C for that second half. Its inevitable that he'd have to guard Dirk some.

Dirk also scored on KG several times.

I'm not very frustrated with the C's for this one, just bummed it turned out like it did.  They trotted out a decimated frontline on the back end of a b2b roadie against Dirk-Chandler-Haywood. Dirk was getting to the rim with only Baby to offer help defense.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Well, yes the loss is frustrating, but as long as we get back to LA in June, all is well with me.

I know that next time we meet LA in a seven game series, the outcome will be different.

And we won't remember what happened in Dallas tonight.

I apologize, Fafnir. I let frustration get the best of me.

You must be new. Or a very passionate fan. I got all that anger out of system last year. Now I'm much more mellow and relaxed.  ;D If you let every lose crush your spirit, you will go berserk. There is always next game.  ;D

Hey no worries, I'm pretty ticked too.

Everyone gets more leeway after a crappy loss. I just take it out on the refs  ;).

Baby played him pretty good tonight, maybe not only that play… but it’s not like KG was shutting him down.  ::)

The latter. I try so hard to contain myself, but sometimes I lose control. Sitting through another regular season like last year's would be almost as frustrating as losing to the Lakers in the Finals again.
