I figured I'd bring back this thread and throw the Hawks into the mix.  That's an exciting young team and that crowd was absolutely pathetic, and it wasn't just because of the blowout.  They were silent from the tip.  You could hear Lawrence Frank all night, and you could actually here the sound of individual claps from fans.

The fans were pretty pathetic for the Hawks last night, ill give you that. However, I think the reason we heard Lawrence Frank all night was because he was standing right in front of Mike and Tommy screaming his lungs out and their mics picked him up clearly. I havent really seen him do that yet this year at the level he was at last night.

1. Move New Jersey to Brooklyn
2. Move Atlanta to Seattle
3. Move Memphis to either Kansas City or St. Louis, whichever shows greater support.
4. Move the Kings to Vegas.
5. Keep Toronto but change the name

Why?

-NJ to Brooklyn just makes sense and is happening

-Hawks: terrible attendance despite some fun young players and several years in the playoffs.

-Kansas City and St. Louis are fairly rabid sports towns and could do much better than Memphis or Miami.

-Kings: Makes sense. I like Kings fans, but their attendance and stadium situation is terrible.

-Raptors is such a terrible name: a snapshot of a trendy, quickly-fading pop-culture disney-esque reference. Get rid of it. Or, keep "raptors," but change the logo to an eagle/other bird of prey of the class "raptor."

On the bubble:
Miami: does not deserve a team; they have 2 of the best players in the league and a 3rd all-star and have to send out "fan up" ad campaigns; once the lebron era ends, the team should move.

Charlotte
Indiana

So, new divisions:

Eastern Conference

NorthEast:
Boston Celtics
New York Knicks
Brooklyn Bombers
Philadelphia 76ers
Toronto Raptors (with new logo

Great Lakes:
Chicago Bulls
Indiana Pacers
Cleveland Cavaliers
Detroit Pistons
Milwaukee Bucks

Gulf Coast/South Atlantic:
Miami
Orlando
New Orleans
Washington
Charlotte

Western Conference:

Pacific Coast:
LAL
LAC
Golden State
Portland
Seattle

Rocky Mountain Zone:
Phoenix
Vegas
Denver
Utah
Minnesota

Mid South:
Houston
San Antonio
Dallas
Oklahoma City
St. Louis

I completely agree.   ;D

Atlanta.

Just not a good sports town.  The fans only show up in the playoffs if the team looks like it might have a chance.

I always liked the Justices that play on the Supreme Court.

I would say go back to the Bullets but lets be honest, they have been more like the BBs the way they have been the past few decades.

Bullets came to my mind first then i thought it might be a slap in the face of the guys who are still around that played on those teams. On the other side of the coin i have this gut feeling the Wizs will turn the corner in a few seasons with making the playoffs. Its a matter of making a few moves in the off season.A lot depends on their ownership.I like what i see in J.Walls and surprise how good G.Arenas has gelled with him on the court so far.Maybe im missing something but i can see them getting better quicker than some other teams around the league.

Until they dump Gilbert and Blache, the locker room will be an issue.

Then, they need to find some actual size to go inside.

As i said "maybe im missing something"its news to me that Blache is a headache in the locker room?Although ive had my gut feelings he might be a tough nut to crack. In other words i felt he might be the kind of guy who thinks his team needs him a lot more than he needs them.

You mean multiple fights with coaches.  His refusal to play defense.  His sulking when his number is not called enough.

The whole sitting on the bench and refusing to go back in event of last year.

Look through his NBA history.  It is filled with immature acts and a refusal to be coached up.  He is the type of player you want as far away from your young building block of the future.  (not to mention he is softer the Bosh)

As long as they don't change their name back to the Washington Bullets.

It's kinda relieving to know that President Obama isn't a war-monger and such seeing as he did sign the non-proliferation treaty w/ Russia and was also the Commander in chief that helped the United States end the war in Iraq.

Now that you mentioned it i do remember last year sitting on the bench incident.I didn't know much about the other crap but i always got the feeling he might be a problem.I do remember last season when he complained about KG being in his face to close but i asked why didn't he take it up with KG on the court instead of whinning to the media.I can see him being another Rue Paul.
