You know, any rational person can see the argument of the technicals.  Sure, the purpose is to clean up the whining and crying about the players.  Personally, as a fan, I dont care about that but it doesn't make me turn off the TV or nothing.  What I really hate, HATE, about this rule is how it directly affects the game.  You can try to clean up the game without sacrificing the game.  I think it is a whole lot worse LOSING a game because some team got early T's then the whining and crying.  I dont care if you are whining and crying, that should NOT affect the outcome of the game.  Fine players, take away their lunch, perhaps take away their first born child, fine.  But don't let your pettiness affect the outcome of the game.

How about the players act like adults and don't risk losing the game for their team?  Is it that much to expect professionals to have a little decorum?  Umps don't put up with it in baseball.  It's about time the NBA followed suit.
Adults raise their eyebrows at work all the time. The difference is that the Thought Police don't show up, give them a tech and a $5000 fine

I would say that Stern has been a success on the business side of the equation, growing the League and bringing it to world wide prominence.

On the other hand,it appears that he is not so much a good judge of character if, indeed, he does take a personal interest in the hiring of referees.  There should definitely be some sort of checks and balances in place to see that the errors occurring are mental errors and not intentional errors.  Stern is in jeopardy of losing the fan base he has worked so hard to build. It is not just the Celtics who are crying foul, which leads the the question of possible point spread adjustments?  I am not accusing, I am just saying that there doesn't seem to be any transparent control over the referees.
Yesterday is history.
Tomorrow is a mystery.
Today is a gift...
That is why it is called the present.
