Your best twelve American players to destroy any team under any rules. Make sure the team has two legitimate NBA centers and two NBA power forwards.

I think the seven players you can't leave off, if your being honest is, Wade, Bryant, James, Carmelo, Howard, D. Williams, and for me Durant.  After that it's up for debate.

Give me you best team to murder the competition. Two centers!

I'll post mine in a minute.

Best Twelve? For a Team?

I'll go with Dwight(s) and Perk for Centers, KG(s) and Gasol at PFs, Pierce(s) and Gerald Wallace at SFs, Ray Ray(s) and Iguodala at SGs, Rondo(s), Mike Conley, at PG.

Rounding out my twelve would be Dalembert and TA off the bench.

Dalembert, TA, and Conley? Not way. I would even say Iguadala is a stretch. Are we considering all NBA players or only U.S. born NBA players? Because Gasol would be off the list then.

PGs: Rondo and Paul
SGs:Wade, Ray and Kobe
SFs: Lebron, Durant, Pierce
PFs: KG, Duncan
Cs: Howard, Perkins (the fact that I can't come up with a better american center than Perkins to be the 2nd center on the team surprises me, but I can't think of anyone else that's worthwhile)

See - that's the thing. I quickly constructed the best team, not the best twelve players. That was a quick list I came up with that I thought had a decent shot at playing well together, and with a Defensive Mindset.

I'll admit - the twelve I picked are not the best twelve, but I think they could give most teams in the world a big problem.

First team: Howard C, Duncan PF, Carmelo SF, Kobe SG, D Williams

Second team: Team sell your soul.

Amare C, Bosh PF, Lebron SF, Wade SG, and Chris Paul gets to live his dream and play with his buddies.

Bench Steph Curry third sting point and spot up shooter.

That's the main reason I chose Perk - he's a defensive beast. Against International Competition, Perk would bruise most teams. They would not be used to his physical nature.

As much as a Celtics fan as I am, I pledge to be honest in this thread, despite my distaste for them off the court

Deron Williams - the do EVERYTHING PG
Rondo - Better than Kidd IMO, on both sides of the ball
Kobe - Still better than LeBron
DWade - Dominate SG that can handle the PG too
LeBron - Best finisher to catch Rondo's oops
Melo - Plays even better when surrounded by talent
Bosh - Soft in US, Anorexic Hulk over seas
KG - Fav player ever, but no longer best PF in league, but still one of the few great American PFs, Duncan an islander
Dwight Howard - Best C in the league, hands down. And plays fast and Big, so run n Gun international play still works with him, vs Perk prolly couldn't do it as well
Andrew Bynum - Good player at the C, not many options for US
Durant - Too versatile and great to leave off the team
Chris Kaman - Over looked last year, well deserving to rep his own country's colors instead of Germany's
Can't stop, Rondo!
