Another question.

So after we keep our keepers.  The rest of the team is thrown into the free agent pool right?

Now since these players were cut when a team signs them do they still hold their contracts that the team that cut them was paying for them.

Or when they are cut because they are not kept do they lose the contract and we hold another auction on everyone who was not kept and bid on them for their new contract?

I asked about this one a while back - everyone that's cut is re-auctioned.  So when LeBron is inevitably cut at the end of the year, nobody has to pony up $80 to get him, he just gets re-auctioned.  I think this resets the contract length too.

Ok that's what I was assuming, but if LeBron is dropped mid season and someone picks him up his contract stays at $80 for the new team.   I just didn't know if that carried over to cut players when the season is over.

OK, couple of things.  First off it's a $10 league (just to pay CBS).  Secondly, I'm sort of stressed about getting this thing together, along with another league.  But I'll make it happen 

If $10 seems ok, and you're up for a fairly involved set of keeper rules, send me your email and set you up with your team.

I can't wrap my head around a time to do a live auction on this site given the proximity to Christmas and everything else we all have going on, so both the Rookie Draft and the Annual Auction will be held concurrently starting 12/12 on this page. I'm hoping this will give us enough time (there will be far fewer roster spots to fill this year).

A list of keepers and farm reserve decisions is due to me by midnight on 12/10. This will also serve as a trade deadline until after the auction/draft has ended.

This doesn't leave much time to see how guys are doing on their teams (or even if they have teams, but Iwe need to make sure there is ample time to get this done prior to the start of the season).

I'll post more details about the auction process etc...as we get closer.
