i Wonder how bad is my team?

Mr. needle do I have a legal roster
anything that i have to do

List of available players???

You have to farm team Griffin, at least temporarily - you have 16 players and he's your only rookie.  Pretty sure you can immediately promote him and drop a guy once the auction's over though.

CBS has a thing where you can look at free agents ranked by projected points.  Check out their page.

yup

I'll stick Griffin with a Farm status for you.

You can still activated him before opening night, but you'll have to cut one of your scrubs.  ;D

ty i will really appreciatte that
and i will hapily cut some scrubs.
p.s. is it posible for me to auction on 2 more rookies to farm or one on free agency

nope

you are at the cap
Yup

How does the free agent bidding work?  Are we using our FA money?  Or do people who have auction cap money left over use it?

I'd prefer to make people use FA money, and allow everyone to participate in the bidding.  It seems sort of unfair to allow people who didn't leave themselves in a position to field a full roster to benefit by getting almost exclusive bidding rights on a free agent, especially when many of us who are "capped out" are relying on those free agents.

That's especially true in the case of GMs (if any) who could field a full roster, but don't want to due to not wanting to activate somebody from their farm rosters.

EDIT:  I understand allowing people to "bring up" free agents for bidding, and that was in the rules.  However, since the auction is basically over, and there were scheduled days to bring guys up, that it gives people who mismanaged their roster space a competitive advantage.  It's not a huge deal, so please don't take it as one.  Rather, it's something to consider (again, especially in the case of people with more than 15 players on their combined rosters.)

Redz won't be around for at least a few hours, so some temporary rulings until he checks in.  The commish's rulings will of course be final.

- Redz pulled Dampier off the board for the explicit reason that he wasn't currently on an NBA roster.  This should apply equally to Rubio.  So he is out.

- RE: Using FAAB money at this point in the auction.  Everyone had an equal opportunity to post and bid on players not on the original auction list.  If a team filled their roster without doing so, they effectively passed on those guys.  Teams that still have spots open still have the right to put those guys up as long as the auction is going.  The only rule change that's being applied is removing the day-of-week restriction, which we're doing in the interests of ending the auction quickly to allow time for moves before the season.  Bottom line, I don't think putting teams with full rosters on an equal footing with teams with incomplete rosters is fair while the auction's still live.

Not all hope is lost though; guys on the original auction list who didn't get bids will become free agents as soon as the auction's over (they cannot be reposted now).  There are some solid players on that list.

OK, it was worth a shot pulling out Rubio (hopefully we'll see him in 2011/12).

Okay, so clarification:  only free agents who haven't been through the auction can be bid on, correct?  That takes care of my main objection:  I didn't want GMs to get first crack at free agents who made it through the auction once.  The rest of them, you're right, could be put up for a bid, which is fair enough.

I think any one that is a FA and on a NBA roster can be callup for bidding at this point

Nope, Jones hasn't been posted yet to my knowledge.

Again we'll have to wait for Redz to make a final ruling on this, but my understanding is once a guy goes through the auction without a bid, he's out of the running for the remainder of the auction.

If there's a player who didn't get a bid that you would want to bid on now, hold off until we hear from Redz.  But at this point I'd say they're not eligible.  I'm basing that on this:

Quote
If you have an eligible unlisted player you would like to bid on, you may open up the bidding on said player during one of your scheduled days.

Guys who have been through the auction were listed players, so it seems they wouldn't qualify.

EDIT:  This would DQ Haslem as he was a listed player.  So let's temporarily pull him until Redz can confirm or contradict this.
