I like the trade for Pheonix, two high 6ths should allow him to fill out his roster with specialists nicely.

I am pretty pumped about getting Rip Hamilton at this spot.

He had an off shooting year last year but is upgrade defensively from Ray Allen and i was also able to pick up another early 7th rounder.  But even in his off shooting year he averaged 18 points and 4 assists per game
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

With the 6th pick in the 5th round the Philadelphia 76ers select Boris Diaw

Love the 7 seconds of less Diaw. However he looked pretty out of shape at the USA v. France game. Still he's a versatile offensive weapon.

Interesting.  I'm curious if he would have slid to you at the top of the sixth.

I think Hedo is a good pick here.  He had a *terrible* year last year, and was disappointing off the court as well, but I think he'll bounce back.

He would have been under strong consideration if I'd kept the Kings (although ultimately he wouldn't have been my pick.)

Yeah I'm drinking a little of the real life Suns Kool Aid here. I'm hoping and Hedo and Warrick at the 3/4 will complement nicely in a run and gun offense. Plus with AI at the 2 and Nene at the 5 I have big starting 5 even with Brooks at PG.
I don't think Hedo will have a good season when playing alongside Aaron Brooks and Andre Iguodala. Those two guys have the ball in their hands too often for Hedo Turkoglu to get enough touches.

Hedo Turkoglu is only a high impact player when he is allowed to have the basketball in his hands and is asked to create off of the pick and roll. Turkoglu's only high level talent is his playmaking ability (and mostly only off the pick and roll).

I do think Hedo can still be a quality player in the right situation. Not here though.

The Seattle Supersonics are torn between two options, give them one minute.

I'm surprised to hear this from a Celtics fan, I guess.  Ray's regular season defense was mediocre, as the whole team took it easy.  However, in the playoffs his defense was top-notch, especially against Kobe.

I was lobbying for the Jazz to select him and field a 2-5 lineup of Gallinari, Hedo, Gasol, Ming

I just want to see that team on the court once in real life!

Ray's defense was worse than mediocre during the regular season. Below average. It was very good to excellent in the playoffs though.

The gap between the two makes me nervous, uncomfortable and uncertain of what to expect from Ray Allen defensively next season. Of how much one can depend on him.

I was wondering the same but my guy said no, and for an 11,5,4 guy I think its good value in the round. other guys available really don't get me too excited

I actually have no interest in role players, just a high interest in acquiring every 6th round pick possible.

Feeling their squad needed defense and a steady hand the Supersonics select:

Shane Battier

Iguodala hopefully will show he can thrive without the ball in the Bball World Championship with team USA. I'm hoping with a SSOL style of play there will be enough touches for everyone imho. Depending how the rest of the Nyets roster develops, Hedo may play the Ray Allen role of only starter with 4 bench guys.  TP for the analysis and consideration.
