I think Parker and Boozer are both better players than Randolph and Gay but I know others would disagree.

I'm not a Rudy Gay fan.
I agree. I think way, way better players than Gay and Randolph and Philly lost Bargs, though I hate his game, is still an asset.

Let me ask you this:  if chemistry wasn't an issue, would you see the gap between Randolph and Boozer as that big?  Production-wise, I think Randolph is probably the better player.

I'd be surprised if you can find two GMs that would disagree.

Which two players are play-off fixtures and which two players are the second and third best talents on an also-ran Memphis Grizzlies team?

I understand where you're coming from completely my biggest concern with boozer and parker was the injuries that they have racked up. They made me really nervous. Which is why i made the deals

The Lakers now feature are young athletic big three who play defense and can score. All three could have been mid-late first round picks imho.

Stephen Curry Brandon Roy Josh Smith!

Interesting lineup. I think it works, even if they are all tweeners.

Rounding it out will be key.

If you have Randolph though Bargs really has to go.

I wonder if he could kept him and used him in a separate trade.

Yeah, I think it's an intriguing foundation for LA, for sure.  I just really detest Josh Smith.  I think he's incredibly overrated.

Moved bargs to get back into the 4th round... thats why he went, I inherited this team and wanted to put my own stamp on it, hence why I am trying to move maggette too. If anyone is interested just looking for draft picks for a starting wing

This one came together as two separate trades, really.

The first was Randolph for Boozer.

The second was Gay + 4th for Parker + Bargnani + 6th

Bargnani was a key piece to that, since I think Gay has more value than Parker.  We'd discussed scrapping my 4th rounder, and including another #6 from Philly, but in the end Bargs was the guy on the move.

And thats why Roy was a winner last year.  He is playing for 10 minutes and makes one of the best trades of the draft.  Not sure what Philly was thinking.  They Trade Boozer and Parker, two class acts and productive players with experience for a team destroyer in Randolph and somebody that hasnt proven anything in Gay.
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

Now you wont have to worry about it, no way a team with a core of Gay and Randolph playing at C nonetheless sniffs the playoffs

I think you ought to have made peace with the injury concerns. Or continued to shop both players. You're going to have a hard time putting together a starting five that's better than the actual Grizzlies' - even if you prefer Maggette to Mayo.

I might try Gay at the 4 and Randolph at the 5. But there are probably too many traditionalists here who'd sink you in the voting.

EDIT - Case in point:

Now you wont have to worry about it, no way a team with a core of Gay and Randolph playing at C nonetheless sniffs the playoffs.

Word to the wise - blockbusters are risky.
