there was an article on ESPN or Truehoop about how absurd it is that people are hating on LeBron for every thing he does.  They pointed out how that video was being used to somehow show that he's a jerk.  Ridiculous.  He was entertaining kids.  You can pretty much take anything he does out of context at this point, package it as "what a jerk!" and a bunch of fools will follow along with it.  Like the Vegas thing... "OMG!... HOW DARE HE PARTY IN VEGAS!!!!... HOW DARE HE!!!"  I was just in Vegas this weekend and leaving a club at 4:00am as Richard Jefferson and his "crew" were just showing up... why wasn't there a bunch of anti-Richard Jefferson propaganda afterwards?  Lol

I'm starting to respect LeBron more and more each day.   The move to Miami was brilliant and admirable.

The off-the-backboard pass to himself dunk was impressive; I wonder if LeBron could even fathom doing something like that when he was a nine year old kid himself.

Of course the obvious punch-line to that joke would be that LeBron should have tried something like that in the NBA dunk contest; it probably takes more energy for LeBron to run up and down the court and dunk than what the rest of his competition spent during the entire course of the game, but hey -- LeBron James is sponsored by Nike. Advantage LeBron.

Was that the same event where he killed the puppies?

That must have been really great for the kids. Imagine being in a game with a player like that at that age and having him dunk. Lucky kids. He almost stomped on one though.

IF you can dunk you would know that bounce dunks aka off the ground and backboard are some of the easiest dunks to pull off.  They look impressive.

Looks like LeBron found a competition level that was too his liking and he would not wilt under.  Total wuss,I bet someone took his milk money every day.

Yep - I'm sure the kids won't ever forget this. They seemed to be in awe of the man.

Good stuff for Lebron.

The other day I saw LeBron helping an old lady cross the street.  Then halfway through he kicked her walker out from under her, stole her purse and left her in the middle of the road.

Lol after that one putback that kid almost got trampled.  Funny how anyone could turn this into a negative against LeBron when the kids so clearly had a blast playing with him, they are thrilled.  I would have been blown away to share the court with LeBron as a kid.

Lebron is being Lebron even in a kids pick up game, he tried to pass a lot, ended up just winning the game by himself by bulldozing 5 kids  ;D

but yeh as a kid, if lebron dunked on me, i wouldve been embarrassed going back to school "Hey guess what Lebron dunked on me yesterday!"

Watching things like this make me hate LeBron less, can't help but smiling watching that.

I only wish there was a shot of LeBron blocking one of the little kids too, that would be great.

I play with little kids like that all the time, and that's pretty much the way it goes down (except my passes off the backboard to myself are for layups, not dunks), you get 5 rebounds in a row and keep passing to the same kid to try and get him to score, you try to get everyone involved and have fun, but once in a while you still got to show them whose boss (I can't dunk, but will block their shots as hard as I can once in a while, cuz hey pretty soon they'll turn 12 and then they'll be blocking my shots ;)).

Reminds me of one of my favorite Sportscenter commercials (fyi - at work, so can't see if I did the video right, should be the Sportscenter Big Buddies one):

Total wuss,I bet someone took his milk money every day.

He'll have that same feeling again while playing wing man to DWade's Heat, and losing to the Celtics.

LeBron drank a whole case of Heineken out of my fridge while I was gone for the weekend, and after I had to bug him all week to replace it he bought me a 6 pack of Natty Light.
