Did anyone mention Robert Swift?
He's only a big disappointment if you had Ainge's expectations.

God you guys touched on everybody.

I'll throw out Sydney Wicks and Curtis Rowe both of whom were thrown off the team by Bill Fitch in Larry Bird's 1st practice. God they were a disgrace.

Then I would like give a mention to Kevin Stacom and Ernie DiGregorio who were both college heroes but could not do much in the NBA.

There are other losers I have seen in my travels - Kendall Gill attituded himself off the SOnics back in the early 90s. I think Kemp has been mentioned. Vin Baker and Oliver Miller - if you combine those two you would get a fat drunk - lol.

Sam Vincent, Dee Brown, Micheal Smith were all Celtics busts. Dee Brown had to do too much once Reggie Lewis died.

Darren Daye, Brandon Hunter, and Oscar Gamble were all flashes in a pan.

Gilbert Arenas has major character issues that could easily derail his career. I can think of other role players that got screwed by coaching decisions - like Rick Fox in the 90s.

Man I think the player who lost the most due to injury was Bill Walton. Were it not for his bad feet, he would have been one of the all time greats. What a cerebral mind. And I miss his wonderful commentary on the History of the NBA.  :D
The beatings will continue until morale improves

LeBron James, disappointing player, disappointing man!

By the way, anyone catch some of the quotes from his soon to be released GQ piece?  I didn't think it was possible for him to be any less likable, but he just keeps out doing himself.  He actually said he hates Cleveland.  Simply amazing!

I wouldn't consider Dee a bust, Q.  He had a pretty solid career for a late 1st round pick.

I had a bunch come to mind that have already been covered: Tarpley, Michael Smith (C's version, not the one from PC) and Mercer.

Here's a few I didn't see yet:
Pearl Washington, Keith Lee, Walter Berry, William Bedford and Rodney Mccray were all great college talents that were supposed to come into the NBA and make a big splash.  none of them made so much as a puddle ripple.  Can throw Raef in there too due to constant injuries.

For me this is easy, it has to be Len Bias. He was drafted so you might as well say he was in the NBA as there is no question he would have been. The thing is, he was expected to be a great player, maybe go down as one of the all time greats.

Ralph Sampson. I thought he would be a dominant big man in the NBA.
