ESPN helped put LBJ up on his pedestal. I'm not really surprised they pulled the story.

I was actually in LV from the 22-26th, staying at the Venetian, and while the party was at Tao I didn't attend as we decided to head to Excess instead. The Tao line was literally miles long out down the street.

At Excess we saw Durant, Wade, Odom, and rapper Wale.

Funny story involving Odom. A few of my friends were behind him and Chloe getting drinks, and my buddy goes, "LAMAR! LAMAR WE'RE COMING FOR YOU HOMIE! YOU'RE DONE FOR!" Lamar looks around like, who the eff is threatening my life right now?My friend goes, "BOSTON BABY! IT'S OVER FOR YOU!" Lamar just laughed and bought him a shot then walked away shaking his head.

Durant was behind VIP ropes, and thought about coming out to the crowd. There were people snapping pictures everywhere with their cameras and stuff. I saw Wale go, "Dude, you dont want none of that." Durant said, "But I'm just a ballplayer, they dont care about me." Wale said, "Homie, I'm warning you..just look!" Durant looks to the crowd and the people flashing away with their cameras and gave Wale a look like, yaaaa...you're right! Just went back to hanging.

Saw DeShawn Stevenson at a strip club. Dude had a whole section blocked off and just balled out with a few friends and tons of girls. Literally girls on top of girls on top of more girls. Bottles everywhere. All I could think about is how this bum isn't working on his game but is out partying.

Regardless, screw LV heat. 110 at night. Ungodly.

C'mon it's the offseason.  You never hang out with your friends?  Do you work at your job 24/7?

Wow, I can't believe you took the time away from your job to get on line and type this up and share it with us instead of doing your job and getting better at it. You are such a BUM!!! ;) :D ;D

The article should have been pulled.  Is ESPN TMZ or something?  It was unprofessional and completely unreliable as a source of information on what occured.

It also clearly withheld information to make it look worse.  For example the women in the hot tub and aroudn them are always there in that club Tao, it's part of the whole set up.  That wasn't something LBJ brought in.

Wealthy people having an extravagant party? Oh my! I never would of thought.  Give me a break.  Listen to some of John Salley's stories about his NBA days or look up what Magic Johnson was doing in his free time.  I don't need to read about it.

The surprise is that the article got posted in the 1st place.
Will the "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous (NBA division)" seduce Durant?

Stay tuned...

I don't know....The Enquirer's articles have been proven to be far more accurate over the last several years than news from national newspapers or the alphabet networks or cnn....And a lot less partial.

If an article about the messiah by ESPN would have been [dang]ing to the messiah, Stern would call ESPN and have it pulled.

The relationship a person should be worried about is Stern's with the messiah.

LeBron showed his true colors with this offseason.
Eh, I'd instead say LeBron showed his true colors in the playoffs against the Celtics.  ;)

While I don't agree with ESPN pulling the article once it had been posted, I can see how it was a no-win for them.  It's not an especially meaty or interesting article...NBA stars partying in Vegas, big deal.  So if it's posted at all, it just increases the perception that ESPN is basically a LeBron reality show--if it had been left online, people would have been complaining about that.  Really the core error was posting it at all, it's neither sports news nor entertainment.

On a few issues, its still mostly a cheap rag.

I think this sort of thing happens a lot with athletes personal lives. Think of Antoine's entourage and watches when he was with the C's.

How awesome is it that the article reports that Glen Davis walked by the party, looked for awhile at what was going on, and then shook his head. A nice diss by Big Baby.

Not sure Danny will be too happy reading that BBD was in Vegas!

He will be thrilled..because he was practicing with Team USA.

How was it unreliable? The guy was telling us what he saw.

He never said Lebron had the girls put there.

The article read like a narrative through the eyes of an outsider. I thought it was really entertaining.

I dont get what was unprofessional. Did you think he was lying?

There's no way to know if what he saw was what happend. He has plenty of incentive to play up the extravagance and LBJ as a villain.

Fine, it's not a journalistic article but that is what ESPN should be doing, not gossip pieces. I thought ESPN was a more factual sports news outfit but I guess they're just like TMZ.  They once were not, but how they cover LeBron and Favre, etc. It's too bad.  I lose respect for ESPN more and more often.

maybe it was pulled because it wasn't news and would be something found on a site like TMZ.  ESPN generally tries to paint itself as a legitimate news outlet and not a gossip rag.

There's no one news source I trust at all. You have to sort of composite everything everyone is saying
