I wouldn't mind a second "super team"  to challenge Miami (along with Boston, L.A., Ok. City, Orlando and Portland).

And I really woudn't mind watching Chris Paul on a good team to see what he can accomplish, during these initial years of his prime.  To me, Paul, Anthony and Stoudemire would make for a fun team to watch...well balanced, good outside shooting....I'm ready for the East to be 1. Boston....2. New York...3.  Miami.....

Yeah but it would mean that the Knicks would be good again.  UGH!

The Knicks need to worry about making the playoffs.  While the Heat may have made it look easy, it's tough to just assemble 3 all-stars in their prime.

But if it did happen, it wouldn't be a rebirth of those 72-70 games we witnessed in the 90's.

But this time they will actually have talent.  And not just big guys clutching and grabbing.  I don't see really any comparison though between those 2 big 3's.  While I have disdain for the Miami crew I suspect they would destroy the NY crew.  

Miami's bench is looking good, have no clue what N.Y.'s bench would look like.  At this point seems like Miami would defend better, but I'd say the hypothetical N.Y. team would score more, especially if they get some bench shooting to go along with the starters.....I'm not convinced Miami's offense will be consistently potent (it's bound to be sporadically potent).  And despite good wing defense, they might give up a lot of points inside....not ready to give the edge to Miami.

That's true the games would be much better.  From everything I've heard about the rivalry in the 90's it was awful.

Awful isn't a harsh enough word.  It did bring one of the big clips of all time with Van Gundy latching on to Mourning's leg and going for a ride.

As a NY resident they were hilarious to watch since they looked for ANY reason to throw a punch at one another. It was also the only time Ewing wasn't choking and those times were rare.
